Studying Communications, Public Relations at Appalachian State University allowed me to hone my skills in public speaking, conducting and
compiling research as well as becoming a well-rounded, global citizen. I was able to learn publishing, marketing, journalism and advertising
experience alongside my typical public relations course of study.

Experience
New Home Sales and Marketing Assistant 06/2016 10/2016
I was responsible for the marketing the companys five active housing communities. I utilized online marketing software as well as Adobe
Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Alongside my marketing responsibilities, I also worked as a sales assistant to a
community sales agent. I carried out clerical office duties such as running copies and filing materials. I also greeted prospective homebuyers and
aided them in searching for their dream home. After initial contact with clients, I followed-up via telephone or email to make appointments for
the community sales agent to meet with prospects and further the lead.

Office Attendant and Leasing Agent for Holton Mountain Rentals 07/2014 8/2014, 6/2015 - 08/2015, 01/2016 - 05/2016

As a leasing agent, I was responsible for helping prospective tenants find their perfect home. I also prepared leases and conducted leasing
appointments with tenants to go through all legal documents and steps to renting an apartment. As an office employee for Holton Mountain
Rentals (HMR) I was also responsible for scanning documents, organizing office space and employees computers and traveling to some of the
600 units managed by HMR in order to check for necessary maintenance as well as documenting necessary charges to the tenants responsible. I
also interacted with rental clients with their everyday problems ranging from paying rent or looking for an apartment based on specific criteria.
I was also responsible for occasionally taking prospective tenants on tours of available units.

Intern at Mountain Times Publications 08/2015 12/2015


Interning with the Mountain Times editorial department allowed me to focus my writing skills through real world experience and application. I
was responsible for writing and photographing a number of events and issues around the Boone community and was able to become much
more familiar with website maintenance. I published around 30 articles in my time with the publication in print and online.

Skills
As a potential employee I am a fast learner and I possess a very determined and focused mind-set with skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office
and Adobe Creative Suite. I am very much a people person with a drive to help and interact with others and I have developed a passion for
effective and clear communication, whether verbal, written or visual. I am a recent graduate from Appalachian State University relocating to
the Cary/Raleigh area to begin my career with a company with which I can grow.
