CODE ENFORCEMENT: CITIZEN STATES 3320 FRUITVALE AVENUE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY, THE LODING
DOCK FOR CVS PHARMACY IS FULL OF GARBAGE AND STANDING WATER. HE STATES HE REPORTED THIS

Is that the CVS at 3320 Fruitvale Ave? I've learned from experience that it's usually faster to call or email the store
manager and ask them to clean it up rather than to wait for Oakland'd understaffed Code Enforcement to notify and
cite them. If the manager doesn't take care of it, go higher. --------------------------------------------------
As one of many volunteers that pick garbage in the Dimond the CVS parking lot is always a problem. The trash blows
onto Montana., Fruitvale and Lincoln streets. We also pick up in the CVS lot to help keep off of the streets. The CVS
parking lot is Blight on the community and should dealt with by the City of Oakland.

you're both right, and to that end, the DIA and NCPC 22x boards have written a formal letter of
complaint to CVS corp. offices in RI (awaiting response now). Also, Libby's office is organizing/compiling photos and
community complaints as more "ammo", and Bruce in her office has been asking on the listserves, and in her
newsletter that folks take photos and send to their collection!

The problem is not fixed but is better. The seems to better communication with CVS and the Dimond. Less trash and
Graffiti. --------------------------------------------------

Description: Storm drain is full of leaves, dirt and trash. The storm drain in the CVS parking lot is completely impacted
with dirt. All water from this end of the parking lot flows over the curb across the sidewalk into the city storm drain.
CVS has a history of not keeping there parking lot clean. All this dirt and trash end up in the city storm drain.By

Description: The CVS parking lot drain is completely impacted. This to adds to the flooding problem at Fruitvale and
Montana intersection which is also clogged up.This has been reported to Code Enforcement and CVS to no avail.
These storm drain systems need to cleaned out before it rains. --------------------------------------------------
This parking lot drain is still impacted with dirt and trash. Well it is now the rainy season.What ever happened to being
proactive. --------------------------------------------------
This was referred to code enforcement at the same time. The problem is still there. I have even talked to CVS about
this problem. So i will leave it open. Whats a few more months.

Two weeks ago Champion St looked forsaken. Then a Caltrans crew repainted the graffiti filled I-580 underpass and
now CVS has been painted.

Description: CVS has removed its only trash receptacle for is customers. They do little to nothing to keep the parking
lot clean of trash as it. I know its not there fault that there customers have no respect and dump at will. But putting in
some trash cans back in the parking lot might help. I will file a complaint with Code Enforcement also.

Description: Extreme litter in CVS parking lot, piling up and clogging nearby storm drain.

There are plans in the works to put trash cans in the CVS parking lot and have regular trash pick up. The Dimond
Improvement Asso has been in talks with CVS regional management about this. This still does change the fact that
people continue to litter. and crews paid for by donations to the still pick about
1000 lbs a litter a month in the Dimond business district and Dimond Park. Donations can be made to the though
our web site if like having clean streets.
