Leadership
There is a stirring in all to make a difference
to contribute and join with others to make our community,
our world and ourselves strong and healthier. This spark
is the promise of leadership in us all.

Leadership is not measured by position or organization

it is a personal commitment and inspiration. Leadership
is not defined, rather it is lived uniquely by all who dare
to give beyond themselves.

A leader leads not by thwarting others, but by empowering

others to see that they too can make a difference. A leader
works openly through differences and unites others around
a common goal.

In the highest sense, leadership is integrity. It is those of us

expressing qualities of leadership who build our communities
and bring solutions to the problems that disturb us.
