Start by saying that many products we use may fit a need or be


used quite often, but can cause negative effects to people, the
environment, or society. Some items may fit a need quite well,

but have negative side effects due to different chemicals used or

some sort of compound that people use and how it could be
hazardous or toxic.
Students will be researching in groups using some resources
compiled by the teacher different compounds that people use
and how they are potentially toxic or hazardous. They will
present a slide on a google slide with what information they
