Lesson Title Context Clues
Lesson Description The teacher model with the students what context clues look like
and how to use it to understand what they are reading. Students
will then practice these skills with a game and independent

If the students are having a hard time understanding the lesson I can go back and practice again
using some of the passages from independent practice and modeling this for them while asking
them for as much of it as possible. If students finish early they can read a book independently.
My assessment for this lesson will be the independent practice context clues sheet that the
students will complete independently and their responses to questions I ask them throughout the
lesson.
