used as credit for your VAT-liabilities
and support for your disbursements.
With strict BIR implementing regula-
tions, best way to avoid being corrupt-
ed is to report your transactions cor-
rectly and dutifully observe BIR rules.

Trillanes credibility if he still has
an iota of it, can no longer be taken
seriously. He has flunked too many
times on the credibility test. Then too,
his accusations are all a rehash of the
earlier charges and wont create the
scandal that Trillanes hopes to have.
In a televised report, Duterte
slammed Trillanes, saying that in his
three-minute video, Duterte lambasted
his accuser, pointing out that Trillanes is
on his last term and that he has nothing
to lose if he would resign from office
which explains his penchant for always
daring the President to resign, he said.
He added: He (Trillanes) actually
has no political career after his term in
office expires in less than two years, as
he also hinted that Trillanes is engaged
in illegal activities.
It is known in the Senate that
Trillanes uses his office to ask for
retainers and that this has become a
lucrative business for him, he said.
Trillanes really has no chance at all
to even be elected after a three hiatus.
And good riddance too.

Many teachers make mistake of starting the school year with
a poor discipline plan. Students quickly assess the situation in
each class and realize what they will be allowed to get away
with. Once they are allowed to make a lot of disruptions, it can
be very hard to start a better classroom management.
Classroom management is the process of ensuring class-
room lessons run smoothly despite disruptive behaviour of the
students.
Here are some tips that can help cut down discipline prob-
lems and leave you with few class interruptions and disruptions.
Be fair. You must act fairly for all the students to gain their
respect and follow your rules.
Deal with disruptions with a little interruption as possible. It
is imperative to deal with classroom disruptions immediately
and with little interruption of your class momentum as possible.
If students are talking among themselves and youre having
classroom discussion, ask one of them a question to try to get
them back on track. If you have to stop the flow of your lesson
to deal with disruptions, then you are robbing student precious
time in class because they want to learn.
Avoid Confrontations in front of students. It is much better
to deal with discipline issues privately than cause a student to
lose face in front of their friends.
Keep high expectations in your class. Expect that your stu-
dents will behave, not that they will disrupt. Tell the students
your expectations. Say for example If you want to answer, you
may raise your hands and if recognized you may start speaking.
Be consistent. Moodiness has no room in our classrooms. It
is a worst thing a teacher does if youre not enforcing rule con-
sistently. If one day, you ignore misbehaviors and the next day
you get angry to a smallest infractions. With that, your students
will lose their respect, attention and desire to please you.
Make rules understandable. Make classroom rules with the
students. Let them understand what is and what is not accept-
able. Further, they should also understand clearly and before-
hand the consequences when they break the rules.
Start fresh everyday. Forget the past and start a new day.
Dont assume that if a student has disrupted your class last
week, same student will misbehave the following day or day
after or week.
Classroom management and good discipline will much more
to occur if the classroom setting and activities are not structured
or arranged to enhance cooperative learning. Students must be
accountable for their works and behaviour in the class.
If students behave properly, more concepts and learning will
be transpired and always have it in mind that still the ACADEMIC

Understanding the Philippine Criminal Justice System

This short article has the intention to help
others know more about Philippine Criminal
Justice System. Lets take a brief look on how
PCJS functions as we read the succeeding
paragraphs.
Philippine Criminal Justice System is
a machinery of the government tasked to
prevent crimes and maintain peace and order
in the country. It is also responsible for the
enforcement of laws, apprehension, prosecution
and rehabilitation of those who violated the law. It
consists of five (5) pillars or components such as
Law Enforcement, Prosecution, Court, Correction
and Community.
Each component plays a vital role for the
effective functioning of the PCJS. If one of
them does not function well, for sure, justice is
denied. The correlation of these pillars must be
considered since our country is experiencing the
drastic effects of crimes.
But how does PCJS work? It starts when law
enforcers apprehend the offenders found to have
violated the law. The LAW ENFORCEMENT is
said to be the prime mover of the PCJS because
they are at the forefront of the system making
them the first contact of the public. It is also
charged with the duties of crime prevention, law
enforcement, and preservation of peace and
order in the society. They are also authorized to
conduct investigation of crimes whether a crime
has been committed or not, gather evidence and
refer it to the prosecution pillar of the government.
Agencies falling under this pillar are the police
(PNP), NBI, PDEA, and etc.
After the formal investigation has been
completed, police has to refer it to the prosecution
arm of the government. The PROSECUTION
is mandated to screen, review and evaluate
investigation report referred to them by the police
for the purpose of determining whether there is
sufficient ground/probable cause to file a case
against the offender. At this point, the respondent
shall now be held for trial. The latter will now be
turned-over to the court.
The COURT is designated to handle and
try cases. Supreme Court, Court of Appeals,
Regional Trial Courts and others are regular
courts engage in the administration of justice.
If the accused has been found guilty, the court
will sentence him for a corresponding penalty
(i.e. final and executory). If that happens, he
will now be turned-over to the fourth pillar or
CORRECTION, if not, he goes back to the
community.
Correctional institutions absorb convicted
individuals found guilty and sentenced in the
preceding pillar. Included therein are the New
Bilibid Prison, Correctional Institution Women
(CIW), Bureau of Jail Management and
Penology (BJMP) and others. These agencies
are mandated by the law in the reformation
and rehabilitation of convicted individuals.
Rebuilding and re-integrating the convicts into
the mainstream of society is the most crucial
role of our countrys correctional institutions
because of possibility that the former may not
be reformed. Hence, an effective rehabilitation
program must be catered.
The fifth pillar of PCJS is COMMUNITY.
This component makes our criminal justice
system unique compared to other countrys
CJS. Our CJS will not work without the
participation of the community. Community is
a good source of information regarding crimes
and criminals. Moreover, law enforcement is
more effective in its functions when people
provide them information regarding the facts
of the crime, whereabouts of criminals and
other vital information.
PCJS is a cycle. It ends neither in one of
its pillars nor in the others. We all know that
every now and then, our CJS is intensifying
and not truly responsive. Why? Because it
is somehow affected by corruption among
government officials resulting to have police
scalawag, delay in criminal proceedings,
and poor rehabilitation programs. Due
to these alarming scenarios, our CJS in
itself is ineffective. Hence, its now time to
reform the PHILIPPINE CRIMINAL JUSTICE
SYSTEM! With the responding workforce of
the government and the people and love of
God, our CJS without fear or favor will surely
be endowed with integrity and honesty.

and Masbate four times a week-

She said on Wednesday

Pacifics wholly owned subsid-
iary, to signify beginning of the
airlines operation in the prov-
ince located west of mainland
Bicol.
Lao said the Masbate-Ma-
nila route was launched on the
same day as its newest Manila-
Tablas route in Romblon that
utilized the newly retrieved
ATR 72-600 aircraft.
He said Cebgo has chosen
the worlds lightest aircraft seat,
Expliseat for its 72-600 aircraft.
The titanium seat installed
on this aircraft is expected to
help decrease fuel burn while
allowing the carriage of more
guests and cargo on board, he
added.
Lao said Expliseats ultra-
light seats that allow for com-
fort seating of guests and a
more fuel-efficient operation
will lead to more affordable
fares.
Lao said their lowest one-
way-all in year round fare for
Manila to Masbate is PHp
1,879 while Manila to Tablas is
Php 2,439.
With CEBSs low fare of-
fer, we hope to further stimulate
inter-island connectivity and
contribute to the economies of
the destinations we operate in,
he said.
Lao said that even if ATR
72-600 can load up to 78 pas-
sengers and can land in Masbate
City airport safely, he explained
that the plane will only hold a
limited passenger of 69 to fly
off Masbate airport because
the runway condition here stills
needs to be strengthened.
Maybe 5 or 10 years down
the line we can look forward
and it is more than possible to
have jets here in Masbate if air-
port conditions are all set, he
said.

gural flight of Cebu Pacifics
Manila-Masbate route, Philip-
pine Airlines was the only air-
line of choice of those wishing
to see the province.
Masbate City Mayor Ro-
wena Tuason thanked Cebu
Pacfic EB for its offer to fly to
Masbate. "Ceb's maiden flights
here will give comfort to travel-
ers. They can now choose flight
schedules that suit their needs,
she said.
Revil added that this could
become a chance for Masbate
to compete in the market as one
of the main tourist destinations
in the country.
She pointed out that Mas-
bate has been promoted here
and abroad as among the beau-
tiful provinces in the country
because of its rich natural re-
sources but tourists and inves-
tors have been shying away be-
cause of its inaccessibility and
steep air fare.

route.

do our part in terms of promo-
tions so Masbate can be con-
sidered as a major tourist des-
tination and be able to provide
a shield for investments, said
Revil.
She said the provincial gov-
ernment will not waiver in its
efforts to promote Masbate and
