Modifications After reading the story we will have two candidates.
Farmer Brown and the Duck. We will discuss what each
candidate has to offer to us. The students will then cast
their vote on the ballot they will receive. Students will
then fold their ballot and place it in our ballot box. After
all students cast their vote we will count the votes and
find out our president for our classroom!
Have students cast their vote electronically on the
computer.
Providing the Independent Practice
Explain you want them to write what they would do if
they were president. What would you change?
Allow students to use a computer to type their answer
rather then writing by hand.
Use of ipad apps to create sentences.

Student with hearing impaired will sit beside me while
