GRANITE SCHOOL DISTRICT LESSON DESIGN TEMPLATE

Content Objectives:

Students will be able to analyze and deconstruct a writing prompt.
They will be able to apply this analysis and deconstruction in organizing
a writing plan for responding to the prompt.

Language Objectives:

These learning objectives are some of the first steps necessary for achieving
the Utah Common Core Writing Standard 4: Produce clear and coherent
writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to
task, purpose and audience.


In order to engage students in these specific learning goals, I will begin
by addressing our objective as a whole class. This will give students a
purpose for their learning. I will also provide models for the new
information learned throughout the lesson and allow students
collaborative time with peers to create their own work.
