Fair: Scholarships and Exchange programs
Programs for working and studying abroad and learning experiences.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this class project you should be able to:


To look for, collect and analyze information about a working or
studying abroad program (Camp Leaders, Camp Counselors USA,
Au Pair, English First, VIF, Work and Travel USA,
Internationalization Program) to English speaking countries, and a
participant of it.
To understand the benefits and problems when someone enrolls
in those programs.
To analyze the benefits and difficulties people could have when
they live, work and study in another country.
To describe and summarize written and orally about a working or
studying abroad program using appropriate and complex
vocabulary and grammar.
To plan and organize a fair during the Faculty week in order to
present each program.

Instructions

1. Select a program for working or studying abroad (English speaking


country).
2. Design a leaflet about the program selected including the following
information: Name, type, description, costs, requirements, responsibilities,
destinations, contact information.
3. Look for a person who has participated in that program.
4. Design an interview. Ask about:
Name, age, program, country, selection process, positive aspects, negative
aspects, learning experiences, cultural shocks (maximum 10 questions)
5. Design a presentation about the program selected including the following
information: Name, type, description, costs, requirements, responsibilities,
destinations, contact information
6. Invite the person interviewed to participate during the presentation, if the
person cannot be in the fair, the students have to video record the interview
and present it.
7. During the Faculty week, Ss organize a fair to present the programs,

including the participation of the person invited or the video, and delivering
the leaflet created.
