Answer-A number of citizens, whether amounting to a majority of minority, who are united by some common impulse or
passion, or interest, Adverse to the rights of other citizens, OR to the permanent and aggregate interests of the community

Answer: A. destroying liberty OR B. Giving every citizen the same opinions, passions and interests
Both strike at the heart of what America represents (Bill of Rights, Civil Liberties, Civil Rights)

Answer: The unequal distribution of property, or wealth. Property owners vs. non-property owners, creditors vs. debtors,
landed wealth vs. manufacturing wealth

Answer: Wealth, haves vs. the have-nots, distribution of land, constitutional issues (Similar to today: 1%, Tax Cuts, Income

Answer: If its a minority faction Republican Principle the faction will lose the electionNO PROBLEM
If its a majority factionDANGER! As it can win the election. What to do?
-Prevent the existence of the same passion in a majority at the same time
-Render the majority unable to concert and carry into effect the schemes of the oppression
OTHERWISEDEMOCRACY WILL NOT WORK (one possible solution is elections)

Answer: The larger the number of citizens, the less likely it is that unworthy candidates can get away with the practice of
vicious arts. A large territory would be likely to have a large number of interests. With such a large number of interests,
it is less likely that one interest could monopolize power

Answer: Security of the Union. Federal government checks the states, states can check the federal governmentMajor
fear of large central government.
