1st round - series 18 que + apti 18 ques no -ve marks time 2.min
apti - percentage, profit loss ,time work , time distance ,average,compound interest,
ratio n proportion - basic ques but lengthy calculations.. so practise well

2nd round - english assessment test 22 ques ,20 min, no -ve marking, mcq

basic hr ques , ur project, some basic prog may b asked like reverse
usually check confidence n communication..

IBM offcampus placement process:
=====================
*1st round - was online aptitude test containing questions of 18 number series and 18 of aptitude.
go through m4maths and indiabix placement papers of ibm for this round,you will definitely get either
same ques or ques on same pattern.
and also prepare well because today we get to know that in banglore drive they put very high cutoff
of around 70%.

*2nd round - was online english assessment test,22 ques 20 min.

ques related to email writing,document,active passive voice,comma,semicolon etc are there and in
this round also i got similar ques posted on indiabix.
*i guess they did all their screening in 1st two rounds so there was no GD round.
*3rd round - was tech+hr interview,which was mainly HR in my case but also prepare with technical
ques and and whatever u write in your resume and also puzzles,projects.
tell me abt urself and project detail with diagram,these 2 questions are asked with almost everyone.
So guys work hard who are going to appear for IBM drive because there is no shortcut for success.

My IBM Interview experience on 25th April in Hyderabad MLRIT college for the position of Associate
Technical Operations...
In my Panel there were 2 HR's. One was going through my resume and other is asking questions
from the answers given by me
To me around 25 questions were asked in the Interview and lasted for 25 minutes
They covered every thing what I submitted in my Resume
Questions were as follows...
1. Tell me about your selves
2. Tell me some thing which is not in the resume
3. Asked about my college and reason beyond selecting ECE as my stream
4. Games I played during my schooling and college( I mentioned it in my Resume)
5. Started Rain of questions based on my Project like
Brief introduction of my project
6. Is it an existing one or an Innovative idea?
7. Size of your team, role of you and what is your role as a project lead
8. Difference between C and Embedded C programming(My project is an Embedded project)
9. Reason for choosing 2 micro controllers in your project
10. Difference between two micro controllers(mine based on PIC and ARM)
11. What is the main reason in selecting this project related to embedded systems (mentioned my
area of interest)
11. Back ground work done before choosing your project
12. Conflicts faced when doing project with your batch mates and how you overcame them
13. Where have you done your project (Never mention in project institute)
14. can you write the code of the project(they asked me to test... I said ya sir and they replied can u
write and show it. when I'm about to start they said not needed with a smile)
15. Paper presentations... I gave a ppt related to civil. they asked me why you gave ppt related to civil
16. Main theme of the ppt mentioned above
17. I attended few work shops and asked what I learned from them
18. My hobbies
19. Extra curricular activities
20. Have you ever participated in any of your college events... This question is Not about the events,
but your role in making the college event successfull. Have you got any recognisition for your work
done
21. I am 2013 pass out.
They asked me what have you done till now
22. Any previous Interview experiences and asked what are they and in which round you lost them, (I
said about TCS which I lost in HR round.)
23. Why do you think you were rejected in HR
24. Are you willing to relocate( never reply with one word answer like yes ya no)
25. Any questions from your side...
I asked about Job profile
They said Havent you googled it??
Be prepared for this also.
26. After mentioning the job profile he asked me are you really willing to join this job as you were
much interested in embedded systems.
Give a proper answer, because though it might look simple it decides you to be taken into company
or not.
While answering please maintain proper eye contact with HR's as they will be continously observing
you.
Never give break while answering the questions as it seems that ur were framing answer at that point
of time and you were not confident with the answer
Un officailly I would like to tell you that please goto IBM interview in Blue shirt and Black pant as 99%
of the candidates who were rejected are not in the dress code.
Finally Got Selected for IBM...!!! Felling Happy!!!

9)If u r trained in developement feild and after one year u are supposed to do work in testing feild
what u will do?
It was for 30 to 35 mins.MY interviewer was cool
HR round-1) Tell me about your self
2)What u like most about bangalore.
3)Compare it with ur native place
4)U r willing to shift
5)u r ready to work in rotational shifts
6)What are your career aspiration
7)Are you ready to sign a bond of 2 yrs with us?
Thats all after all this we filled a form given by them and they verified all the documents and said they
will inform in 2,3 days......

Finally, got placed in IBM smile emoticon smile emoticon

here is my Interview experience ******Hyderabad******.
1st round: appti( no series questions only appti)
level: moderate.
After one hour results announced. Cleared.
After a long wait of 6hours. it was my turn for 2nd round.

2nd round: eng assement( face to face interview)

it is hardly for 5 to 10 min

tell me some thing about you?

Tell me 3 things of your life which is not mension in resume?
Why should join ibm?
Why should hire you?
Why you want ibm?
Some HR ques they ask?
Some ques related your life or education
Basically they check your communication
So prepare well

3rd round: technical +HR.

Level: More than moderate but not tough.
At 11Am it was my turn for 3rd round
Interview went like this.
Interviewer: Good mrng gentlemen, have a seat.
me: good mrng sir.
Interviewer:Okay, what shall we do now?
me: confused look.
Interviewer: Haha, just kidding, just take me through your profile.
me: I said everything about me.
Interviewer: Well, I'm not going to ask you to write any program, instead just explain me the logic
behind Amstrong number and Fibonacci series.
me: explained clearly. he was impressed.
Interviewer: What is your final project and explain me how it works?
me: explained everything. he was impressed and he asked few questions on my project randomly.
Interviewer: So, tell me why should I hire you?
me: I told about my strengths and etc.
Interviewer: What if I reject you?
me: no issues sir, I'll learn from this and improve myself.
Interviewer: OK, where do you want to see yourself after 2 years in IBM?
me: I want to grow along with the company sir, no personal milestones as of now.
Interviewer: OK, gentlemen. I don't have any point to reject you. It was nice meeting you. You are IN.
me: Thank you very much sir. smile emoticon smile emoticon
Documentation is done on the next day. i.e today.
200+ got selected out of 4000+ students.
I was one of them smile emoticon I'm an IBMer now

Guys, one suggestions from my side for getting job in IT.

1- learn everything about any of your intrested technology (either Testing or Java) which may ask in
interview.
2- Work on your presentation skills. How to give best ans in interview according to the situation.
3- Try to attend max to max interview and after attending interview evaluate your self. Find out which
are the most frequently asked area where you feel uncomfortable in giving answer. Work on these
area.
I am sure if you will implement this process. You will get job in IT very soon.
Try your best to get job in IT.
