learning plan regarding patent safety in residents with Parkinson's
disease (PD). Iis based on falls management and the prevention of
aspirations because residents with PD are at risk for these preventable
adverse events. In the LTC setting, the residents are highly dependent
on the staf to maintain a safe environment, and therefore my role as
student nurse places importance in ensuring that promoting safety is
‘my goal throughout tis placement setting. lam currently inthe
process of reviewing the resident's charts to evaluate the falls
prevention strategies in place. lam supplementing my findings with
relevant research to ensure that the practice promotes quality nursing
practice.
