Assembly of prototype:
1. Three pieces of 50 x 50 cm MDF wood and one 50 x 50 cm plywood was cut using a
table saw.
table saw
2. Flat wood drill bit was used to make hole in 2 MDF sheets, then a jigsaw was used to
make two windows on each of the MDF wood sheet.
Wood Router
4. Flat head screws were used to join the MDF wood together and plywood base was nailed
to the structure.
5. Using arc welding, two the curtain rails of 35cm long were manufactured from metal
rods.
6. Before welding the base of the rails, the curtains rings were already placed.
7. The curtain rails were glued to the prototype using hot glue.

10. For the projector screen, a piece of white cloth was sewed on a straw and then one end of
the straw was glued on a dc motor. The other end was inserted in this component and the
dc motor was fixed.
11. Using twist wires, all dc motors were connected to an arduino board.
12. A white LED, IR transmitter and IR receiver were glued to the centre of the prototype
and their terminals were also connected to the arduino board.
13. 4 RGB LED were placed at each corner of the prototype.
14. To control lighting intensity and temperature, a LDR and a thermistor were connected to
the analogue pins of the arduino.
At the end , c programming was used to programme the arduino board so that the required output
is obtained.
