Lesson Plan 1: Formative Assessment:

I will provide my students with visuals that go along with each branch of government.
Students must verbally explain what each picture means and what branch it belongs to.
Accommodation: Taylor can write down or type the answers into a word document if she
is feeling anxious and does not want to verbally tell the answer.

Lesson Plan 1: Summative Assessment:
Summative assessment: At the end of the three weeks, students will create their own
government and tie three branches of government into their made-up government. They
will have to focus on having a system of checks and balances to ensure that their
government will run smoothly.
Accommodation: Taylor can use technology to create her government and can sit in the
comfy chairs in the room if she feels anxious or in danger.
