PERSONAL SWOT ANALYSIS

STRENGTHS
I believe in the values of ambition, drive consistency and teamwork.
I have the ability to be relaxed and keep my mind at peace under heavy work
load.

WEAKNESSES
Sometimes procrastinate before completing a task.
Can sometimes be described as quiet since I dont value useless
conversations.

OPPORTUNITIES
I am very connected and have family members and friends in positions such
as: doctors, teachers, lawyers and senior managers where they can help out
with certain task I stumble upon.
I believe YouTube is a suburb platform where one can come to learn a new
skill from their large video database and content posted daily by people all
over the world. It gives me the ability to learn and apply skills I require to
advance in the working world.

THREATS
During the years technology has been making the work of human obsolete
making it challenging for an individual to get a stable job.
Being that I am not very talkative makes me less engaging as an individual.
Self-Introduction

My name is Macklane Lionel from a small community called Grand Riviere,


Dennery in Saint Lucia. I characterize myself as Creative and I believe I
have an eye for creativity thus giving me an edge over most people. I am
also Persistence and there is a hunger in me that will stop at nothing else but
to achieve the goals that I have set in motion. Curiosity defines some of my
traits being that I am very curios and have a hunger to learn new things that
improve my performances and interest me. I have set down some specific
career goals that I would like to achieve. These goals include:
o To develop more friendships at work and try to be less competitive.

o To delegate work and tasks more effectively to increase my own


productivity.

o To develop relationships with coworkers and clients to make work seem


more enjoyable.

o To identify personal boundaries at work and know what i should do to


make my day more productive and manageable.
Soft Skills Possessed
Emotional Intelligence
I have the capacity to be aware of, control, and express my emotions, and to handle
interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically. For instances, there was a time
when everybody in my accounts class was complaining about a lecturer always being
absent, resulting in everyone failing the course. I remained calm and eventually the
school apologized for having such a lecturer and gave everyone the course back free of
charge.

Communication Skills
I have the ability to communicate information accurately, clearly and as intended. Being
the class representative of computer application I sometimes had to pass on messages to
my fellow class mates giving them the instructions from the lecturer.

Time Management
I have the ability to efficiently manage my task and set specific times for
accomplishments. Its by being a student one really learns how to value their time, I
remember a time I had 3 assignments due on the same day and I did not fully completed
two of them. My time management skills kicked in and I set specific times for each
project and meet the dead line for collection.

The ability to work under pressure


I have the ability to work under pressure that involves me dealing with constraints which
are often outside of my control. There was a time I was given a task to complete at my
local non-profit organization and failure to complete would have resulted in me losing my
spot on the committee, within two hours upon completion I worked relentlessly and
finished on time.

Problem Solving Skills


I have the mental ability to analyze and work through details of a problem to come up
with a solution. I was given a task once to complete a table on Microsoft access that
required me to create a list of 500 unique records. There was no way to do that, so I
conceptualized and came up with a plan to create a simple pattern using excel and
duplicated the information randomly to generate that list of 500 unique records.

I am recent Sir Arthur Lewis Community College graduate with a strong background in
computer applications. I spent the last two years whiles in college taking different
courses online in the fields or web design, database management and communications. I
enjoy learning new things and improving myself. As of now I am looking to apply what I
have learned over the years to the best of my capabilities in a job.
2. WHY SHOULD I HIRE YOU?
Well, I am equipped with all the skills you are looking for and I am confident that I
would be an exceptional fit for the position, not because I have time management skills
and the ability to work under pressure, but its my relentless work ethic and problem
solving skills that would benefit me for this role.
3. IN WHAT WAYS CAN YOU MAKE A CONTRIBUTION TO MY ORGANZATION?
I can contribute my adaptive problem solving skills to facilitate almost any technical
problem the organization needs solution a solution for, I have been told that I was an
outstanding problem solver based on my work at college by many lecturers.
4. WHAT SALARY DO YOU WANT?
Im particularly more interested in finding a position thats a good fit for my skills and
interests. Im confident that youre offering a salary thats competitive in the current
market.
5. WHAT IS MY GREATEST STRENGTHS
I think one of my greatest strengths is that I have a relentless work ethic. I believe in
getting the job done and leaving no stone unturned. I ensure I meet all deadlines and
produce outstanding results.
6. WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST WEAKNESS?
I am perfection and I enjoy going deep into detail with anything I have to do. This can
result in me being sometimes wrapped up on a single task but the end result of the task is
always done exceptionally well.
7. WHAT ARE YOUR SHORT TERM AND LONG TERM CAREER GOALS?
I see myself within a few months learning all the necessary skills I need to do my task
more efficiently, communicating with my coworkers and performing to the best of my
capabilities. In the long run I would like to move up the cooperate ladder and try different
departments until I find what I love to do best within the organization.
8. HOW ARE YOU PREPARING FOR IT?
I am currently learning more efficient ways to communicate with people and to become
more magnetic with my peers, because I know having good communication skills is
necessary for higher positions.
9. WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF ON FIVE YEARS?
I see myself as the manager of social affairs handling employees and their issues.

I am member of the committee of a non-profit organization where we go out to
speak and help the less fortunate. I believe I can be of great assistance because I

small amount of staff to manage solely. With extra assistance from me this can be beneficial for both the
employees involved in the department and the business to get more work done quicker.

in the bank. From my research I noticed that Bank of Saint Lucia has a large client database which is time
