A class of high school students taking a Human Development
Across a Lifespan class decided to organize a project called
Raiders Reaching Out, which contributes to the hands-on style
that is used in the class. The class is offered to kids in grades 10
through 12 to teach them the physical, cognitive and emotion
development of specific sets of individuals. In 2016, Raiders
Reaching Out took on the task of helping homeless teenagers.
They did this by learning about the teens situations and
collecting donations and also making care packages. For this
years project, the students decided to study the emotional,
physical and cognitive effects on people in the armed forces
throughout their life.
