Continue emailing Mrs. Houchins finalizing the details of the project venue Visit Kempsville High School Update weebly adding new tab. Determine how many students will be attending each project session (~25 per class) Research different online lesson materials
Week 4 (Feb. 20th-Feb. 24th)
Visit Kempsville during operational hours Finish Constructing Lesson Plan Brainstorm materials necessary for project Begin researching construction guides Visit and potentially interview a debt consolidation firm. Consult different teachers on how to construct an effective lesson plan. Week 5 (Feb. 7th- Mar. 3rd) Continue to compile list of necessary project materials. Decide which elements that youd like to incorporate into final project Limit any last minute changes to project overview. Complete research regarding the history of debtors prisons, colonial age of America, and the industrial revolution. Week 6 (Mar. 6th Mar.10th) Begin to brainstorm a potential interactive game to incorporate into lesson. Research any online templates for financial management games/ lessons to expedite process. Research the game instructions for both Monopoly and The Game of Life Visit project consultant to discuss the steps necessary to forward my project. Purchase initial materials to construct jail cell at either Lowes or Home Depot
Week 7 (Mar. 13th- Mar.17th)
Determine how many students will attend the four separate lesson plans. Finalize legal handouts/pamphlets Finalize instructions/details of the game. Complete project presentation including the documentary, historical portion, legal timeline, etc. Purchase last items necessary for project e.g. incentives for student participation, costumes, etc. Week 8 (Mar.20th Mar.24th) Visit venue and set up classroom prior to project Meet with Mrs. Houchins to give brief overview of how the project days will go. Print enough copies of handouts/documents for all 100+ students who will be in attendance. Have final meeting with Mrs. Lingua for last minute lesson tips. Upload all presentation slides/ game Plan accordingly for any changes in schedule or plan backup activity in event of drastic change in plans. Arrive early to Kempsville high school to greet students upon arrival. Get a full nights sleep Have a kick-butt senior project.
