Contour Treatment Menu

This menu gathers the functions of simultaneous opening of a DTM .ic2 or .geo and its
associated image .ic1 or img.

The Image file is superimposed to the altimetric file and may have a greater resolution than
the corresponding DTM by a whole multiple of the scale.

These cartographic files can be opened on the disk, or can be directly loaded in memory.

3.1 Open Disk Session
This function allows to open at the same time in mode disk a DTM .ic2 or .geo and its
associated image .ic1 or .img. Both files must have the same characteristics.

Therefore, the altimetric file can be loaded in mode disk without its associated image : click
over the Cancel button when the system asks you to designate the .ic1 or .img file to open.

When cartographic files are opened on the disk, it is generally preferable to work on small
zones. The tool allows to cut files to generate files with more easily exploitable sizes.
In mode Open Disk Session, it is not possible to work on too small zones ("Illegal File
Format" message).

When cartographic files are opened on the disk, all the modifications are directly made over
the file, exept when the work is done on a part of the file previously cutted via the tool .
In this case only, the tool is available in mode Open Disk Session. If the work is directly
made on the whole file, the user must be very vigilant.
