Unit Summary:

Students will be introduced to solving equations. To start off, students will learn about the properties needed to solve one- and
multi-step linear equations. Once they have mastered these skills, students will apply algebra to a real-world application problem.
They will identify and use relevant information to create equations and solve application problems. Students will use their creative
skills to create an online poster that displays their solution. Lastly, students will learn about special solutions to linear equations.
They will research information on this topic and organize information into a chart organizer. Students will be assessed throughout
the unit.
