MONTH OF MAY

May 2-5, 2016 (ACSA SEMINAR)

As teachers we must be equipped on how to handle our pupils. It is important to join in any
seminars and trainings that could help us develop own skills and capabilities. Theres a saying We cannot
give what we dont have.

May 2-5 was the seminar of DACS (Department of Alliance Christian Schools) held at Mount Apo
Alliance Bible College Bulatukan, Makilala, North Cotabato having a Theme Empowered to teach like the
master teacher. In this four days seminar, I learned a lot that could help me prepare in the incoming school
year 2016-2017. One of the topics that got me the most was the brain neuroplasticity. Attachments
patterns and its implication to learning, by Mrs. Flordeliza Buhay PhD. She discusses about how the pupils
build their trust or attachment to their parents and other people. We, as teachers must build attachment to
our pupils so that they can show to us their full potentials and talents, and be able to participate well in the
class. I really thank God for having the opportunity and blessed to join such event.

MONTH OF JUNE
June 6-10, 2016 (K-12 Grade 5 Teachers Seminar)
The goal of the Department of the Education is that every teacher will become not only efficient but
also effective. The todays mission will have more training and seminars, and it was being conducted to
improve or develop the craft of each mentor in the school. The Department fully understand that everything
rises and falls on the teachers ability to bring learning at the heart of every pupil.

Last June 6-10, 2016, was the division training workshop for private schools on the K to 12
enhanced basic education curriculums for grade 5 teachers held at Notre Dame of Kidapawan City. It
started with a short program and proceeded to the proper training. Every speaker presented their subject
area curriculum framework and I learned that all of them were learner-centered. This Seminar helps me
understand more that everything is getting advanced from time to time, everyday starts with something new
and theres new things are still coming as days goes by. So, we must as teacher must be updated and
informed in the new technologies or either happening in our generation today because pupils will not learn
or improve their knowledge from textbooks alone. A lot of things I learned in this seminar thats why I am
very thankful and grateful. Thank you Lord.

MONTH OF JULY
June 22, 2016 (Earthquake Drill)
It is important to orient people on earthquake preparedness in order to be informed of what to do
before, during and after an earthquake disaster. Last June 27, 2016 was the earthquake drill, after the flag
ceremony, we proceeded to our respective classroom. After few minutes we perform the earthquake drill.
We executed the three basic things to do the drop, cover and hold on. First, drop to the ground before the
earthquake drops you. Second, take cover by getting under a sturdy desk or table and the last, hold on; to it
until the shaking stops. The pupils performed the 3 basic things in an earthquake situation. The main point
of the drill is not trying to move but immediately protect you as possible as you can. Thats it for that day
thank you Lord for the opportunity.

June 13, 2016 (Back to school)

Back to school, time is one of the most exciting parts of the school year for pupils and also for
teachers. Though they may have enjoyed their summer vacations, the back-to-school seasons brings the
opportunity to see beloved friends and again to have a fresh start for a long year ahead. June 13, 2016 was
the first day of school; I woke up early in the morning because i was excited to work again in the institution.
Though, Im a bit nervous and scared; because they assigned me the Grade VI-Fidelity advisory. My day
started with a big smile when pupils recognized and showed some respect to me. During flag ceremony,
Maam Arlene called all the teachers to be recognized. I am happy and grateful for giving me the chance to
handle this advisory, setting new goals is challenging and exciting part of my life. I am thankful to God for

MONTH OF SEPTEMBER
September 9, 2016 (1st Poetry Recital)
Rewarding students for positive contributions and achievements builds self-esteem and
confidence. With feelings of confidence come positive behavioural choices immediately apparent to
teachers, school administrators and parents like.

Last September 9th was the first poetry recital. At the morning were the Pre-schoolers and in the
afternoon was the grader. This kind of program is important to everyone because awards can give a
tremendous amount of encouragement to keep getting better, no matter how young or old you are. When
pupils are given nothing but negative feedback, they will beat down and will lack any desire to put effort in
the classroom. They know their efforts will only be meet with criticism, so why bother trying? But when a
student are given positive feedback and rewarded for a job well done, its only natural for them to continue
to work hard and do their very best. And, I can see the big smile of their faces have had received the
certificate. They reaped the reward of their hard work and efforts. Thank you Lord for this day. For God be
all the glory.

through activities that encourage collaboration of creative minds in solving problem.

cater different skills of our pupils. In the morning was the quiz bee, poster-making and slogan-making.
During afternoon was the collaborative and creative problem-solving. The pupils were nothing but
happiness and the cooperative spirit. They tried to so hard o win the task as fast as they can. This task
allows them to develop their capabilities in mathematics and in science by providing problems, puzzles and
activities that are intriguing and accessible. Focus is on creating a collaborative, non competitive
atmosphere to explore the joys and power of Math and science. Indeed, we are all blessed by this activity.
Thank you God.

September 28, 2016 (Fire and Earthquake Drill)

It is important to orient people on earthquake preparedness and when there is fir in order to be
informed of what to do before, during and after earthquake and fire.

During this activity we executed the three basic things to do the drop, cover and hold on. As the
bell ringed the pupils drop to the ground and cover their head and neck with their hands or book. The main
point of this drill is not to try to move but immediately protect yourselves as possible as you can. Indeed, it
was successfully done. Thank God.

and a loser but this is just in expectable reality that must be taken into sincere acceptance. We ended
successfully with a closing prayer. Thank you Lord for this day. To God be all the glory.

October 22, 2016 (31st Foundation Day)
Every year the schools celebrate its respective foundation day to commemorate the day when the
school was founded or established. It is significant not only because of the number of years it has served
the community where a school belongs to. It is likewise significant especially if the founding of the school
has resulted to considerable benefit to those it serves.

Last October 22, 2016, was the 31st Foundation Day of JASKC having a theme Gods love
reaches everywhere. The event was started with a parade of all pupils with their adviser and after that
more activities followed. But the most excited part of the pupils as well as the parents and visitors was the
festival of International Dances in celebration of the United Nation. And it was considered the highlight
because this is one of the rare chances the parents see their children perform with the rest of the pupils.
They really enjoyed every performance and after that everybody enjoyed the food bazzar on a booth
hopping with different kinds of food. It ended with a closing prayer by sir Kelvin Manongdo. Thank you Lord
for this day! To God be the glory.

MONTH OF DECEMBER
December 17, 2016 (JASKC Christmas Party and Family Day 2016)
Family is a gift that last forever, it is worth to be cherished. Christmas is a special event of the
year where everyone celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ.

Last December 17, 2016, was our Christmas party celebration as well as family day of JASKC. The
program started at exactly 8:00am. In the morning was the presentation of every grade level and in
afternoon was the games and other surprises. During lunch break we had our Christmas party in our
classroom with their family. The importance of family day is that everyone who lives under ones roof
changes with the tidal pool of age; they will all at least stay connected against the waves of indifference that
are art to occur from time to time. And the importance of celebrating Christmas is to remind everyone the
birth of a king and a celebration of how God loves us so much that he gave His only Son Jesus Christ
according to the book of John. Indeed, Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year. Declaring Gods
promised. Thank you Lord.

Month of February
Magic Ball 2017
21st Century Socialization, does not talk about activities, it does not even promote groups.
However, it does requires individual to come out and be oriented with others. It is the process by which
pupils of ours, establish a wider and profound relationships with other schoolmates. Through it, they
become more bound with, and perceptive of the personality of themselves and of others.

Last February 24, 2017 was the Magic Ball of grades five and six pupils. This event is definitely an
avenue of introducing our pupils into the social and cultural world and allows them to experience the
fulfillment with the company of others. For several months, our pupils were isolated themselves inside the
four corners of their classroom, of course for a reason. This event was their time to take a pause and let
them be the best of themselves.

Month of March
32nd Moving Up Ceremony
Last March 27,2017 was the JASKC moving up ceremony for primary and intermediate pupils.

To give inspiration and motivation to the pupils, the school invited a guest speaker. The speaker of

development of the school, that consist of pupils, teachers, parents and other stakeholders of the school.
