AIMS: 1) to enable the students to use Present Tense Simple


2) to enable students to predict the dialogue only looking at a
picture
3) to enable the students to make up dialogues about time

T- prepares the teaching aids for the lesson

WARM-UP:

T- gives students handouts


S- in groups should look at the picture and should make as many sentences
as they can using Present Tense Simple
S - try to do this exercise

ACTIVITY 1: TIME:
INTERACTION:

T- open your books on page 48. look at the image. What do you think they
are talking about?
S- Look at the image and they try to guess what the young people are talking
about.
T-Now well listen the dialogue between them and well see if we were
right.
S-listen the dialogue.
T-Now well read the text.
S-read the text on roles.

ACTIVITY 2: TIME:
INTERACTION:
T- Look at exercise 2 on page 48. Here we have 6 sentences. We have to see
if they are true or not. You have to say Yes is they are true and No if they
arent true.
S-do this on pairs and then they read the sentences aloud and they answer
with Yes and No.
ACTIVITY 3: TIME:
INTERACTION:

T-Look at exercise 3. Here we have some useful phrases. Well listen and
repeat them and then, well try to translate them in Romanian
S-listen, repeat and then they translate the phrases.

ACTIVITY 4: TIME:
INTERACTION:

T-here I have a clock..Shows the clock to the class: Lets try to remember
how the english say the time
- asks the students : Whats the time?
S- they say the times.
T-draws a clock on the table and explains the students the clock times.
S-write in their notebooks.
T- asks the students to look and read the dialogues from exercise 5b on the
same page and try to do similar conversations
S- do this exercise

FEEDBACK:

T- gives the students handouts and asks them to write the correct times
S- try to do this
HOMEWORK:

T- gives them handouts with clock times. They have to match the clock
times with the right clocks.
