DIRECTIONS: For the support providers observation of a lesson, use this template. Collect the graded work from the
three focus students to attach to the Analysis of Student Work (C-7).

2. Formative Assessment for Learning


In what ways will you gather evidence of understanding (elicit evidence interpret evidence act on evidence)
throughout your lesson?
I will give a pre-test on Kahoot.it before lesson. This will assess prior learning and I will get immediate results
which will inform instruction. If 80 percent or more of my class passes the pre-test I will continue my lesson
as planned, otherwise I will scaffold learning with some extra time on vocab words and modeling.
I will give daily informal assessments where I check my students answers to warm up question that they will
work on with their partners. At the end of each day I will give them a repeat question from the warm up to
see if they got better after the lesson. At the end of the week I will give a quiz.
In what ways will students be engaged in reflection and self-assessment of their learning or the learning of their peers?

My students area always engaged with Kahoot.it quizzes, I also believe they will be engaged
to see their own growth at the end of each day as they will re-do their warm-up questions at
the end of the period and will be able to see if they learned something from the lesson. I will
also give gold starts for students who get the question at the end of the period correct.
