station that has covered stories all across the world and broadcasts in several different

CNBC states that since marijuana is federally illegal in the United States it has
directly linked to major drug related crimes (murders, smuggling of drugs into the United
States, and disease.) and the author states by legalizing marijuana just like we did with
alcohol it will significantly reduce drug related crimes. By legalizing marijuana, it could
also create an estimated $1.3 billion in new revenue nationwide as an excellent tax
benefit for the country. In addition, legalizing marijuana will free up police officers time
so they can focus on more important social problems of America: sexual assaults,

and his related experiences. My team and I will use this source of information to further
explain why legalizing marijuana will have such a positive impact on the United States
and its citizens. This article is an excellent and different view point explaining one of
many areas that will contribute to the overall success of marijuana legalization.

any time soon, but they are pushing a bill to do research on medical marijuana with
approval from Food Drug and Administration (FDA) and Drug Enforcement

how marijuana have treated their chronic illness, to provide evidence that marijuana is
effective than prescriptions. While in Colorado, marijuana is used for recreationally and
there are statistics with adolescents abusing marijuana for recreational use rather than
medical uses. Basically, there has to be a lot of research before Utah would legalize
marijuana for medical use, but that wouldnt be for a while. This article was detailed,
long, interesting, and organized. It provided much information that would be helpful.

doctors who conduct specialized studies of psychiatry at the University of California and
the University of Pittsburgh. This article was published by the trusted Open Neurology
Journal and peer reviewed by college students all across the world.
Grant et al. concluded after several research studies that medicinal marijuana has
been proven to have positive effects to cure and treat many diseases (Alzheimers,
glaucoma, AIDS, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and cancer to name a few). Regardless of
the two main active ingredients, Tetrahydrocannabinal (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD),
have been proven to be a better medicine than others currently on the market, both
substances are federally illegal and both are a schedule 1 narcotic. However, with further

several scholarly journals regarding many different illnesses, and treatments to such
illnesses. The journal that hosted her article is a leading company in the Scientific,

article for other sources like Salt Lake Tribune. Mckitrick has been working with
journalism for sixteen years, what she loves about her career is the ability to
communicate and cover interesting issues and people. In SB 73 fails in Utah committee;
SB 89 sent to house for debate published by Standard Examiner, she addresses the
debate between the two laws over medical marijuana and which one would be should be
strengthened.

disagree why SB 73 should be legalized. Mckitrick quotes what supporters and non-
supporters (mostly politicians) have to say about SB 73. The title clearly tells the answer
of which bill got declined. This article was helpful for understanding which bill does
what, and why medical marijuana has not been passed yet.

epidemic in Utah, and will be valuable to our group. With this information, we can show
that medical marijuana can help Utah with its opioid epidemic.
