This TAFE certificate course is ideal for those who work or wish to work
from SEEK
in the community service industry providing support services to people
with mental health issues. Youll gain specialist communication, client
support and intervention skills needed to work in a range of community
settings. These include non-government organisations, home-based
outreach, centre-based programs, respite care, residential services,
rehabilitation programs and clinical settings.
Be job-ready: Graduates of this course will gain the skills to work as
a Support Worker in mental health including Outreach Worker and
Community or Mental Health Rehabilitation.
According to the Australian Government, the number of job openings for
Welfare Support Workers is expected to be between 25,001 and 50,000 until
November 2019*.
