Playing with Fire is Asking to be Burned

Scarlet, a true firecracker

with a constant burning look
in her deep emerald eyes
that causes you to feel feverish at first glance.

Her flaming locks of auburn hair

ignite against her rosy skin
in a beautiful and perfect chaos,
that spirals out of control forever.

She sparks your interest the second you see her,

and just like fire,
you know she is dangerous,
but the thrill of being burned is irresistible.

Her voice has a soft and ashy tone

as she talks, it makes you melt inside
but when she yells,
it is like a quick burning lick straight to the skin.

To play with fire you must be a master

which I have grown to become.
Scarlet is the only fire I have ever had the thirst to capture
because to ever let her go would put the fire out in me.

Scarlet had to be nurtured to begin with,

she was a quiet and private person.
Now she shares every flame and passions that burn in her soul
and all that she ever aspires to be.

Our love grew from just a spark

it was simple at first
but as her love spread through my body, it was like a wildfire
and without her I knew I would grow forever cold.

Her love is vibrant,

together we consume each others company
and thirst for more of each other to set our hearts ablaze,
we depend on one another for the warmth that connects our souls.
To tend to a fire is a full time job,
as it must be kept a glow.
Just as it is a full time job to love Scarlet,
and assure her of our love.

Oxygen is crucial to a fire,

as it breathes life into it.
The breath Scarlet and I share is the essence of our relationship,
and the foundation of our love.

If the oxygen source is slowly cut off,

the fire begins to fade.
A dimming fire reveals the true heart of the flames,
and if the heart is damaged the fire simply cannot survive.

As it seemed,
Scarlet was giving less oxygen to our love every day.
Without her breath, it was hard to endure,
breathing on your own teaches the body the importance of love.

Each day as my breath became heavier,

Scarlet became more furious at me for holding her.
The fire she once had for me was beginning to turn to smoke,
and my oxygen alone was not enough to rekindle the flames.

Once I was master of the fire,

but playing with a flame will eventually burn you.
And without Scarlet, the keeper of the flame,
I had nothing to be master of.

She duped me into loving her,

made me believe I was the master of the flame,
in the end she used her fiery ways against me,
and as I burned, through the flames I saw her repossessing her freedom.
Ice Runs Deep in the Veins

Glacia could blow you off your feet,

at the very first glance.
Her chillingly beautiful looks
compressed the air right out of my lungs and stole my breath.

Her chilling blue eyes

are like ice crystals,
a wonder that draws you in,
and keeps you frozen in time.

Her hair of almost white,

which matches the snow as it falls.
Both are unique and beautiful
and within an instant can disappear.

Her skin is as pale as porcelain

and her touch is like ice,
a brush of her frigid lips can freeze your whole body,
but to be frozen with her is priceless to me.

Glacia, is the woman of my dreams

equally beautiful and mysterious.
I worked for years to learn to control the cold,
and with my hands I became the master of snow and ice.

She is like a beautiful winter storm,

both mesmerizing and terrifying.
She is gentle at first,
but could destroy you with a single gust of wind.

To hold her hand

makes me feel like a giddy child again,
and she reminds me of the fun cold can bring,
and all the beauty winter holds.

We were silly and in love,

and she really started to warm up to me.
She kept all of her beautiful, distinctive traits of the cold,
but my love persuaded her heart to become warm.
I did everything to make her happy
Glacia was a new woman
and although I loved her,
she could not identify her true self anymore.

Glacia became beautiful

and strong.
But when she lost herself,
she lost the ability to see the good in herself.

I was to blame for her change,

to love someone just how they are is the biggest feat.
And I learned to love both versions of her,
however, she could never see that.

Glacia quickly reverted to the cold,

the way she had been when I met her.
I tried everything to warm her again
but, as ice ran through her veins, I knew she could not trust my love again.

Our love simmered out,

and I no longer felt the cold anymore.
In fact, I felt nothing at all,
and that is when I realized my true love for her.

Glacia drank the beverage I mixed for her as I turned off the heat,
I sat across from her and consumed every last detail of her beauty.
To know that she suffered in our relationship hurt me,
to end her suffering was a last stop act of love for me.

As she began to drift off from the drink and winter cold
I layed down beside her to feel the cold she was so familiar to.
I then knew that we would forever be frozen in time,
right next to each other.
Dark Depths of the Shallows Can Consume

Cordelia, a jewel of the sea

with eyes of a piercing blue,
they draw you in with their crystal caps
and drown you in their mesmerizing sparkle.

Her hair cascades down the nape of her neck

and spills onto her back
in a perfect never-ending wave,
crashing against her skin with every move she makes.

Her smell is captivating.

A crisp, fresh scent at first,
then followed by an intoxicating warm, soothing aroma
which consumes your whole existence until you get trapped in its grasp.

Everything about her is mysterious

as the sea runs deep, so does she
with her amazing, constant calm
but always a wild and dangerous side that is hidden just out of reach.

She is a masterpiece,
like a watercolor painting,
her features are soft
but mix together to create the darkest of art works.

No one has ever conquered the whole sea,

until now.
I have captured all of the oceans in Cordelia
and all of the waters which reside in her soul.

When my eye first landed on Cordelia,

she was shallow and beautiful for as far as I could see.
But as we grew together and like waves colliding into the shore,
The never ending depth of her personality drew me in.

Every day Cordelia finds new ways to amaze me,

she has taught my heart to sail.
To navigate the constantly changing tides of enlightening love,
as she teaches me to enjoy the ride.

A sailor must always look on to the lighthouse to guide them,

and that lighthouse is our home.
The light of love always bringing me home to her,
and leads us forever back to one another.
For what seemed like a lifetime
Cordelia and I loved each other.
One day the beacon of the lighthouse began to flicker,
and returning home became harder.

The seas were no longer calm,

and her dangerous surfaced.
Cordelia and I had braved tough waters in the past,
but I had never been in a storm as strong as this one.

Our love seemed distant,

and we no longer connected.
The depth of her love could go no further,
and like the seas she lashed out.

She lost her calm ways,

and I lost my ability to see the gentle in her,
as the waters deepened, I began to lose sight of my love,
all I could see was the empty shell of a women I once knew.

But I am the conqueror of the sea

and to lose that reign was not a choice,
I held on to Cordelia, my one true love,
as I tried my hardest to capture her again.

However, I knew deep down that her love was gone,

and as the pieces of my heart washed away with the tide,
I felt my love dry up, and I knew she could be forever mine,
if I showed her my final true act of love.

As she bathed in the shockingly silent house,

I watched the shell of a women through the door.
I could not resist to touch her wavy hair,
and see her blue eyes just one last time.

As I slowly approached her,

placing my gently hands on her should,
I slid my fingers around her perfect neck,
and I knew she belonged with the water, forever.

She submerged so easily,

and only resisted my grip for a mere second.
In that moment I restored the waters to what I have always loved,
as one small tear rolled down my cheek onto her limp porcelain hand.
