Background 1. These accident factors form the unsafe behavior pattern displayed by the
factors person within a given unsafe environment.
Initiating
factors 2. These accident factors involve persons deviating from normal pattern or
standard procedures coupled with some catalyst for accident.
Intermediate 3. These factors emphasizes on the condition wherein the individual
factors continues with the accident-producing behavior pattern.
Immediate
factors 4. This factor is considered the trigger mechanism wherein the individual
commit an unsafe act that will certainly cause an accident.
Mitigating
factors 5. This factor represents possibility that might develop at the last moment to
eliminate accident about to happen.
85 percent 6. The percentage contribution of unsafe behavior of an individual with
respect to all accident.
15 percent 7. The percentage contribution of unsafe environment with respect to all

of life 9. An experience wherein an individual was about to encounter due to unsafe

possibility of hazards, thereby eliminating possible accidents.

ANSWER:
The statement explains the importance of safety being a part of our plans and
value structure in our daily living. Integration of safety must always be a part of a
persons philosophy of life thus it will be a part of our controlled behavior that may
contribute to our society for an individual. Integration of safety helps an individual to
build a better value structure to integrate accident prevention procedures to our daily
activities and making it a habit.
