1) Examples of Issues
a) If the internet goes down, the teacher should be prepare to teach
the lesson without technology
b) During individual work, if a student forgets his or her Ipad, the
teacher will provide a worksheet of the assignment
c) During group work, if a student forgets his or her Ipad, the teacher
can allow for the student to submit the assignment at home with a deadline
d) If a student forgets his or her password, the teacher can help reset
it with them so the assignment may be completed
e) If a piece of technology is broken or not working the teacher must
contact I-Tech or the principle
f) If a student breaks a piece of technology, the teacher needs to
contact the principal so he or she can follow policy
2) The technology lab should be cleaned at all times
a) No trash on the floor
b) Tables or desks with be set up in groups
c) Teachers desk while be off to the side of the room opposite of the
door
d) No drinks spilled
e) Belongings should be underneath seat during a regular class day
f) Belongings should be placed in front of the classroom during
testing
g) Computers and Laptops should remain on top of desks or tables
at all times
h) Ipads should remain in the hands on the owner at all times or in
the teachers hand when students need help
i) Computers remain plugged in during class
j) Ipads and Laptops should be charged when need be at the
charging stations inside of the desks or tables
3) Teachers signals
a) For students attention the teacher will turn off the lights
b) For an individual students attention the teacher will call the student by his or her
name
c) For students to lower their voices, the teacher will raise his or her finger to his or
her mouth and students will do the same
d) For students to stop all work and pack up, the teacher will raise both of his or her
hands in front of his or her chest as a stop sign
4) When the teacher demonstrates all students need to pay complete and utter attention to the
teachers demonstration
a) Students should wait until the presentation is over to ask questions or when the
teacher breaks to conform everyone is following along
b) If the demonstration is interactive, students should be following along at their
desks
c) If the demonstration is not interactive, students should be taking notes and
following along to complete the assignment after the demonstration
5) Entering and Exiting the Technology Lab
 a) When entering class students should immediately go to their desks unless
i) To ask the teacher a question
ii) Need to go to the restroom or nurse
iii) Turn in assignments to the directed place for that class block
b) Once the student is in their sit, their belongings should go under the desk or table while
Ipads are placed onto the desk
c) If it is test day, students belongings need to go into the front of the classroom
d) Once at the desk and belongings are under the desk, students should have their
computer, laptop, or Ipad On logging onto their accounts
e) Assignments will be on the board or on the overhead projector in the front of the class
f) When class is about to end, students should begin to save and login off of the computers
and laptops
g) Once computer and laptops are logged off, students can gather their belongings and seat
in their seats while speaking at a low volume with their peers
h) The teacher will dismiss the class not the bell
6) Students signal for help
a) A student should always raise his or her hand when help is needed
b) If a students need to go to the restroom or nurse the student can approach the
teacher and ask to go to either or
7) Independent Work
a) Students should remain at their desks or table
b) Students should remain silent when completely work
c) When assignments are completed, students should save their work and submit it
to the teacher
d) If a student's need help, the student have raise his or her hand for the teachers
attention and help
8) Group Work
a) When working in a group, students should move to the directed desks or tables
to work together
b) While in groups, students should be using their inside voices to respect other
groups working
c) Students can either have the option to work on one computer or laptop or Ipad or
all separate technology to complete the work as long as everyone is doing their parts in
the assignment
d) Once complete, everyone in the group must submit the assignment to the direct
place to receive a grade
9) Saving work
a) Students should be provided a school email to use while submitting work
b) Students should save their work on their email
c) If using an application or a website, teachers should have a designated place for
students to save and submit their work
10) Printing Policy
a) If and when a student need to print his or her they should always ask the teacher
first
b) Once the teacher approves the printing, the student should start check to see if
paper and ink are loaded into the printer
 c) After the student checks, the student can send their work while standing at the
printer to collect the work
d) If the student does not collect his or her work then the next person who prints can
pin the work onto the board for later retrieval
11) Food, Drinks, and Belongings
a) No food allowed in the lab
b) Only clear water or liquids allowed in the lab
c) Gum is allowed for students to stay awake and concentrated
d) Belongings go under the desks or tables unless for test day then the students
belongings go in front of the classroom
