Products:
Antik, MVI, VDA, these products are tested to be able to connect to Opera via the XPossible
Connect HSIA gateway.

Key benefits:
Stable and more efficient OS, cost of STB generally cheaper but all depending on vendor
pricing

Cons:
Usually proprietary system and control, require vendor for any customization and
modifications
Less upgrade opportunities for new features and user interfaces

Key Benefits:
Neat, interior designers preference.
Lesser equipment to manage in the room
Built-in wifi
Cons:
TV models are older than the consumer TV
Built-in AP supports only max 4 devices
Cannot set separate VLAN for the TV LAN port and wifi

If LAN network is used to transport the TV programs, all TVs

LAN port must set to same VLAN for the multi-cast traffic.
The network will be very vulnerable if guest devices are
plugged in to access interest services.

Product has not been popular and direction from LG and

Samsung unclear and chances that the models will not be
readily available locally in the future for fault replacement or
hotel expansion.

If IPTV Box spoilt may need to replace the whole TV.
