1. Why is personality type important to consider when choosing a career?

When choosing a career, it is important to consider personality type in order to gain

insight into your educational and personal needs. Understanding your personality type will
help you to find the best strategy to help you work efficiently. Your personality determines
the way that you strategize, communicate, and work.

2. List two strengths indicated on your report. Give an example from your life that
demonstrates these qualities as strengths.

Two strengths indicated on my report are being able to make realistic assessments of
gathered information and developing a good rapport with people. I feel that I am able to
make realistic assessments because I dont allow my desires or beliefs to cloud my
judgement. This makes it easier for me to make rational decisions. I am able to develop a
good rapport with people because Im respectful and courteous. When I meet new people, I
try to establish a good impression on them in order to build strong relationships.

3. List two blind spots indicated on your report. Give an example from your life that
demonstrates these qualities as blind spots.

Two blind spots indicated on my report are my inability to be assertive and my inability
to be objective. I am not assertive in selling my strengths and talents because I am a very
modest person. This can be challenging when I am in a situation where I am expected to
stand out because I have a tendency to sell myself short. I lack objectivity because I am often
swayed by personal thoughts and feelings. My caring personality makes me sensitive to a lot
of things.

4. What qualities should a career have in order to satisfy your particular personality?

In order to satisfy my particular personality, a career should allow me to work

independently and provide me with a supportive and stress free environment. It is important
for me to be able to be independent because I am introverted and work more efficiently in an
environment that does not have a lot of people. It is important for my environment to be
flexible and positive because I am a feeler and perceiver. I tend to work more efficiently
when I am around supportive colleagues and do not have to conform to specific rules or
structures.

5. What qualities should a learning environment have in order to maximize your learning?

In order to maximize my learning, a learning environment should be supportive and non-

competitive. Because I am a feeler, I thrive off of the support of my peers. With that said, my
environment should be friendly and non-competitive. It is also important for me to be able to
work and learn at my own pace. Because I am detail oriented and skilled in collecting
information, I need to be able to take my time.

- Software Developer
Being a software developer requires critical thinking and collecting data. This
suits my personality type because I am attentive to detail and can collect and
understand information easily. A software developer uses realistic assessments in
their everyday work. Making realistic assessments is one of my indicated
strengths. This career allows people to work independently and in outside
environments, which is an ideal learning environment for myself.
- Sociologist
Being a sociologist requires extensive thinking and investigating. My strengths
include collecting data and finding detailed answers. The work of a sociologist is
artistic and can be done without set structures or rules, this is ideal for my
learning environment. A sociologist provides help and service to others. Because
I am a feeler, I commit to doing meaningful work that benefits others.
