Myra consistently plans lessons that are student-centered and aligned with the Virginia Beach curriculum and VDOE
standards of learning. She differentiates instruction by small group as well as providing learning activities to meet
various student learning styles.

During my classroom observations, students were on-task and engaged in learning. Myra provided hands-on learning
about plant and animals cells during my most recent observation. Students were able to choose which cell to construct.
Students were given directions for construction the plant cell but had to be more independent to construct the animal
cell. By doing giving this choice, student differentiated their own learning. More advanced learners tended to select the
more difficult, challenging task while struggling learners were able to have the step-by-step instruction of the plant cell
for scaffolding. I was quite impressed with this lesson.

Myra has consistently performed well in the area of assessment of and for student learning. Her plans show consistency
with using both formative and summative assessment to determine student understanding. She uses the information to
plan for small group learning and/or reassess whole group instruction.

Myra had a good grasp on classroom management during her 5th grade placement. She has become increasingly
more authoritative with group behavior management and has learned that she must project to be heard above hum of
the well-planned activities. She listened well to constructive feedback in this area and made improvements, as was
evident during my most recent visit.

Myra is a fine professional. She will be a trusted and reliable member of a school community. She has become
increasingly confident with collaborating with colleagues during this semester. She has learned that she brings many
good ideas to team meetings and has much to give as an educator.

Myra's cooperating teacher provided feedback on Myra's behalf that she is using student data to make instructional
