Denver Colorado, 1872

Alright padres, settle down and let me tell you a story from before the
west was won. A time when things werent quite as safe as they are now,
and our little metropolis wasnt nearly so mighty. The story of a strangest
assortment of characters you ever did meet, who saved this grand city of
Denver from destruction.
Back then, monsters and outlaws roamed the western plains and
mountains with nobody stopping them. Hell, back then a decent woman
would never walk alone in broad daylight, let alone at night. But the people
of Denver were a strong and hardy sort, they braved monsters, those both
wearing a human face and those not so much and damned if they were going
to just throw that all away.

JOSEPH BATES THE MAYOR

Joseph Bates moved to Colorado 12 years ago, in 1860. He was a
businessman from back east, New York I think. Damn Yankee wasnt exactly
the best at his trade but he had credentials. Wasnt till 1968 he ran for city
councilor and won. He just won mayorship in 1972 and he has sights on
making Denver the biggest industrial city in Colorado.
