Objective: Teaching students how to write complete
sentences.
Activity: Playing a game where students are given half
of a sentence and need to finish the rest of the sentence correctly.
Materials: Whiteboard
Whiteboard marker and eraser
Slips of half sentences
Guided Practice: I will have six stations set up in my room, and
will have already assigned the students to one of the stations. Each student will be told what staton to go to, then once grouped, I will tell them the directions to the game which is that they have a slip of paper on their table that has half of a sentence on it and they have to create/write the rest of the sentence correctly. Once they have finished their complete sentence, they will raise their hand and I will go over and check to see if it's correct, if it's correct they can move on to the station next to it. The first group that makes it through all six stations wins. Independent Practice: Students will write three single, complete sentences with a partner, once done they will raise their hand to see if it is correct. .
Evaluation Students will individually write six single,
complete sentences and once done, turn it into the basket to be graded.
