Planning Memo Project #3

--Report or chapter: I have chosen to work on the Draper

transcription project provided to me by Dr. Wickliff.

--Audience: The audience will consist of Dr. Wickliff as the

transcription is his work and any possible persons interested in John
William Drapers journal.

--The primary purpose: Many works created by authors before the

time of computers are often written down in journals. A lot of this
writing can be illegible and needs transcribing for quick understanding.
The act of transcription can be tedious and needs to be checked for its
accuracy in case the transcriber interpreted something incorrectly.
Also, the transcription itself needs to be in a unified format, which is
what I plan to offer to this project. A style sheet is attached below to
show how each page will be formatted in the transcription document. I
hope to create the best representation of this transcription by checking
its accuracy and providing a uniform document.

--Technology: I will be using Microsoft Word to conduct the edits

based on the pictures provided in PDF format.

--Schedule:
March 30: Conduct first round of edits
April 6: Conduct second round of edits with group
April 13: Final edit with assessment
