Big Idea: Fun activity to do with two and three years old.

The objective is to discover what the children knows about painting with
plastic bottle.
Materials: Plastic Bottles
Paint
Color Paper
Permeant Markers
Pen
Pencil
Styrofoam plates
Anticipatory Set:
(Hook & Hold)
I have a lot of toys for Spring theme. What is your favorite toy for Spring? Have you seen
any of these before?
Procedures:
First you would grab some color paper. Then you would take the pencil and draw tree
branches on each of the paper. Take the permeant marker to trace and color the tree branches
in. Then take the pen and write the names of the children on the back. Take the paint on
Styrofoam plates with the paint on it. Finally take the plastic bottles and the Styrofoam
plates for the children to get the paint from. Then the children can start making flowers for
their tree.

Adaptations: The purpose of this lesson is to see how the children can paint with plastic bottles to make
their flowers for their trees. The special needs for one of the children is to make sure that the
colors are being seen by the child can see what they are doing for the activity.
