Math and Pedagogy Education

Fourteen years ongoing math learning at colligate levels ranging from calculus through
fundamentals of analysis II including applied statistics.
Four years ongoing secondary pedagogy education including multicultural education,
language awareness, classroom assessment, special needs and inclusion education, and
classroom discipline.

Educational Field Experience

West High School (Student teaching) August 2016 to April 2017
Observed classes for two terms taking note of mentor teachers methods and class
structure.
Taught one term in four classes, two secondary math I and two secondary math II honors.
Assumed all responsibilities of a full-time teacher including lesson planning for every
class, attending departmental meetings, and conferencing with teachers and other parents.
Mathnasium Tutoring Center (Part time) August 2015 to June 2016
Assisted students of varying ages understand concepts in mathematics within their
respective grade levels.
Observation and Teaching, East High School August to December 2014
March to April 2016
Volunteer taught several subjects including algebra, statistics, and geometry.
Planned out lessons and notes, gave lectures, and interacted with the class on assignments
under the supervision of the main teacher.
Educational Interaction, Cottonwood High School August to December 2013
Engaged in discussion with 11th and 12th grade students about cultural impact of
education and society.
Taught importance of the application of mathematics in everyday thought processes for a
final project.

Taught and worked with elementary school children with various arithmetic concepts in a
weekend addendum education program.
