Chronological History of the Moshcr Family.

Jehu, Robert, Wilcox, Fanny, Polly, Simon, Amy,
Benjamin, Rebecca, Allen, and Lydia, and three died
young. Total, 14. The above went by the name of the
Kempt Moshers.
Nicholas Mosher, of James and Lydia, married
Polly Greeno, who was a daughter of Daniel Greeno,
who came from Rhode Island with his brother Moses.
Nicholas and Polly had fifteen children Jehu, Rachel,
Mary, James, Amy, Abigail, Lydia, Olive, Nicholas,
Tonge, George, Daniel, John A., Elizabeth and Sarah.
Joseph Mosher, of Jas. and Lydia, married Priscilla
Greeno, and had the following children James, Barzillai,

of Jehu, married Margaret Murphy,
of Capt.Thomas, and had the following family Annet, :
Narraway, Ellen, and Margaret. Margaret died, and
Nelson, after a time, married Margaret's sister Catharine,
the children by this second marriage being, Almona,
and McKewen. Nelson was a

came home sick, and died, after severe sufferings.

Margaret Mosher, of Barzillai, married Isaiah
Miller, and had Barzillai, Mary Jane, and Amy Agnes.
Jehu Mosher, of Allen, he being of the Kempt

Robert Mosher, of Allen, married Mercy Armstrong,
and she died without issue. Robert's second wife was
Lydia Francis, who had only one daughter named Mercy
Ann.

Thomas.
Abigail Mosher, of Nicholas and Polly, married
Increase Ward, and had Rachel, James, Thomas, Mary,
Sarah Ann, Olive, Amy, and Martha.
Lydia Mosher, of Nicholas and Polly, married James
and had Daniel, James, Nicholas, Cornelius Hiram,
Blois,

and Mary Maria.
Olive Mosher, of Nicholas and Polly, married
Nathaniel O'Brien, and had Rebecca, Esther, Robert,
Elizabeth, Catherine Ellis, Thomas Reid, William, and
John Mosher.
Nicholas Mosher, of Nicholas and Polly, married
Amy Harvie, and had Olive, Mary, Ann, Eleanor, and
George Jehu.
George Mosher, of Nicholas and Polly, married
Jane O'Brien, and had one daughter at the time they
moved to Ontario, Canada, in 1829. In that province
the following children were born to them: Mary,
Rebecca, Frances, Sarah Ann, and William. The latter

Mosher, of Nicholas (of Nicholas) and Amy Harvie,
and had Nettie and Mary, who are now with their mother
in Newton, Mass. The above Nettie studied medicine,
and got a diploma. Was also a writer of note. Resides
in Massachusetts, U. S.

ried J. W. Allison, a merchant and postmaster of Newport
Landing. Margaret died without issue in 1882, aged 56
years.

Jane Mosher, of Wilcox, married G. Fisher, and has
no issue.

Charles, Hannah, and William. The latter died
young.

Barzillai Mosher, of James and Rachel, was one of
the crew of the brig "Leone." The ship and all hands
were lost, April, 1845.
William Mosher, of James and Rachel, married
Lucinda Burgess, William was lost in the brig "Geo. M.
Sole," Capt. Harvie, in 1846, leaving no issue. The brig
was never heard of after leaving Liverpool, G. B.
Joseph Mosher, of James and Rachel, married
Asenath Anthony. He died of tumor in the stomach,
leaving no issue.

TENTH GENERATION,
BELONGING TO NEWPORT.
LoiSE Mosher, of David and Lydia Campbell, mar-
ried Henry Campbell. Their children are :
Charles,
William, Laura, Maggie, and a baby girl.
GREENO FAMILY.
Moses Greeno and wife emigrated to this country
about the time James Mosher and family came to Newport.
His brother Daniel also came about this time. He mar-
ried Elizabeth Wheeden, by whom he had one son, William.
This son married Sarah Burgess, and had several children.
He met his death in a very sudden and painful manner
while attending a grist mill on Kempt Shore. In some

way his coat caught in the cog wheel, and he was drawn
into the wheels and instantly killed. Daniel's wife dying,
he married a Miss and had eleven children
