I choose this assignment for my reflection project in Math 1030

because its very important in the real world. We have just had an election in

the United States and this assignment shows how there are other ways to

vote for somebody instead of just the electoral. And how not everyone wins

with the same voting strategy. Depending on what voting strategy we used

made us see what winner would win in that scenario. But as you can see it

wasnt the same winner with all of them. We did different voting scenarios

and then we chose which one we would like to use and who the winner may

be if we chose them. I and my partner who I worked on this assignment with

choose Marco Rubio and we picked him because of Copelands Method. We

chose that method because we thought that would be the best fairness one

when choosing a candidate. It took in the votes of the people and in which

place they score according to how many votes they have. So if they get last

place they are the first person out then we see who takes their votes. So the

winner would be who gets the most votes from people not who scored the

most points once than score super low on the rest of them. So thats why we

choose that method and then that method picked Marco Rubio. So now

knowing the different ways somebody could win we see which method we

may think would be the fairest in chosen a leader. And we get more involved

when voting for our next president or mayor or anything really that has to do

with the voting method criteria.
