Hub Line Cards
About

Purpose
This manual provides information on the specifications for Hub Line Cards such as
interoperability, network configuration, interfaces, and mechanical and environmental
information.
The iDirect family of hub line cards consists of iNFINITI TDM, iSCPC and Evolution DVB-S2 line
cards, designed to fit into the slots of the Universal Hub Series or SCPC Concentrator chassis.
Line card models vary by the number of modulators and demodulators and the advanced
features they support.
The iNFINITI and Evolution line cards are hot-swappable and can be configured in a standby
mode to spare other line cards in the chassis. The modular design and inherent flexibility of
the universal satellite hub let the network operator purchase and operate each line card and
network one at a time, allowing for a very scalable, cost saving approach.

Audience
This manual is intended for use by customers, sales customers, network operators who are
responsible for making decisions or obtaining information regarding hub line cards.
