Seven signs that Allaah loves you

A group of people came to the Messenger of Allaah () and said: Nahnu Nuhibbullaah-We
Love Allaah so much

Al-Hasan Al-Basri and several scholars among the Salaf commented, "Some people claimed that
they love Allaah. So Allaah tested them with this Ayah;

Say, [O Muhammad], "If you should love Allah , then follow me, [so] Allah will love
you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." [3:31]

Wa kana Qaalal Hakeem awul Hukama: Lai sa Shahnu an tu hib wala kinna Shahna
untu hub
They say, It doesnt matter if you love someone, WHAT MATTERS THIS SOMEONE
LOVES YOU BACK OR NOT!

-an evidence that you are truthful about your claim that you love Allaah: Are you following the
Messenger of Allaah or not?

Add to this if you are truthful & youre the follower of the Sunnah, of the way of the Prophet
Muhammad() youre going to receive

Allaah then will love you!
Al-Hasan al-Basri and other scholars from salaf they called this verse AL-HAAKIMA, AAYATHUL
IMTHIHAAN , AAYATHULFITNA

This verse has a very specific name with scholars of tafseer, they call it: THE TESTING VERSE

When people claim to love Allaah and to follow the Sunnah, when they do action which has no
basis in Shareeah, which is a bidah but still they justify the act by saying this is our culture, our
fore-fathers used to do for many years, this is what our shaykh said, etc.,

When someone becomes a Muslim- he/she says the Shahaadah-what it means?

I bear witness that there is no deity deserves my worship, my submission except
Allaah & I testify that I will submit & worship Allaah according to Muhammad
Rasoolullah

Remember: NOT my culture Rasoolullah

NOT my Shaykh Rasoolullah
NOT my Madhhab Rasoolullah
If you follow the Messenger, not only it means you love Allaah and Allaah loves you, He adds
more and says that

that, He will forgive you your sins
Brothers & Sisters, it is easy to claim that you love Allaah SWT, if you ask any average
Muslim, young or old, small or big: Do you love Allaah? The instant answer will be YES!-I love
Allaah!
But what really matters is , Does Allaah Love you or not!
This is the key, This is what matters

Let ms share with you some of signs that if you have, that means you got itif you dont have it
then adjust your journey in this world as soon as possible because it can end very soon.

1. The first sign: ITTIBA-UN-NABI as we saw in the verse 3:31

2

The first sign that Allaah loves you is that He guides you to submit to the way of the Messenger
The Companions of the Prophet they used to shake, Abdullaah ibn Masood (r.a.)when while
narrating hadith, when he says: Qaala Rasoolullaahhis body will shake
DA HATHAL EEMAAN FAY-ITH NAFA-ULLAAHU ANKH ILLABI TAHKHEEMI SHARH
RASOOLULLAAH!
Allaah says:

But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O
Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among
themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you
have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission. [4:65]
To show you the difference between us and them (salaf)

Anas ibn Maalik (r.a.) was sitting down in his teaching circle, teaching the sunnah, one of the
student asked him: Kaifa kaana shahru rasoolillaah? How did the hair of Prophet
look like?
--Anas said: If you really want to look at the hair of the Messenger of Allaah, look at
the hair of Qataadah (another student of Anas seated there)-it looked exactly like
his!

--You know what Qataadah did? He broke into tears: Ya Allaah! My hair resembles the hair of the
Messenger of Allaah
--by the way, keeping hair like the Messenger is not from the sunnah we have to follow or
emulate, but this shows our salaf had so much love for the Messenger.

2. People will love him and he will be accepted on earth

-Do people like you? Are you liked?
--For some we love to meet, hug, a joy naturally comes by seeing them.
--for some we tend to avoid even after seeing him, we pretend we havent.

Abu Hurairah (r.a.) narrates that Prophet () said: "When Allaah loves a slave, He says to
Jibreel, 'I love so-and-so, so love him,' so Jibreel loves him and then calls out to the
people of heaven, 'Allaah loves so-and-so, so love him,' and the people of heaven
love him, and then acceptance is placed in the Earth for him." [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree]

-SubhanAllaah! Just imagine, Allaah Almighty calling you by your name! what can be greater
happiness, or success than that?
-In FB when you get a notification stating someone mentioned you in a comment, how curious
we become to find out who it is and what is been said about me!!

Anas ibn Malik (Radia-Allaahu anhu) narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (Salla-Allaahu alayhi
wasallam) said to Ubayy ibn Kab (Radia-Allaahu anhu): Ya Ubayy in-nAllaaha amaranee,
An Aqraka-alayka suratan Bayyina: Allaah has ordered me to recite to you: Those
who disbelieve. (Surat al-Bayyinah:98)

Ubayy said: Ya Rasoolullah, As-sammaanee Allahu-lak?: Has He (Azza-wajal)

mentioned my name? The Prophet (Salla-Allaahu alayhi wasallam) said, Yes On hearing
that, Ubayy started weeping. [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]

He went into prostration.

3

The above hadiths states: so Jibreel loves him and then calls out to the people of
heaven, 'Allaah loves so-and-so, so love him,' and the people of heaven love him, and
then acceptance is placed in the Earth for him

Meaning, the love and acceptance of that person will be placed in the hearts of the believers in
the earth.

[,]
Verily, those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the Most
Beneficent (Allaah) will bestow love for them (in the hearts of the believers).
[19:96]

3. Allaah will protect him from the harms of this world

One of the corrupt believes lot of people possess is that, if you have the dunya i.e. good health,
wealth, money, children etc., that means Allaah loves you & that you will get likewise in the
aakhirah too!

This is not the sign and when you are deprived of this dunya its not always due to your sin and
disobedience.

In soorah al-Kahf Allaah mentions the story of the disbeliever who had two gardens and he said:

And I do not think the Hour will occur. And even if I should be brought back to
my Lord, I will surely find better than this as a return." [18:36]

And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and
favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me." [89:15]

But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has
humiliated me." [89:16]

Qatadah bin An-Nu'man narrated that the Messenger of Allah () said:

" "

.
"When Allah loves a slave, He prevents him from the world, just as one of you
prevents his sick from water." [saheeh-Jami-at-Tirmidhi]

Imagine your doctor told you that you child is sick and not to give her water because it will
make him/her more sick, will you give water to child if he begs you for water in that situation?
You will not and this is due to love you have for your child. This is exactly what the hadeeth
says.

In another narration in Musnad Ahmad-hasan hadith, Prophet () said:

INNALLAAHA YUH-TID-DUNYA LIMAN YUHIB WAMAL LAA YUHIB
Allaah gives this world to those whom He loves and to those whom He does
not love.
4

WA YUH-TID-DEEN -But He will give religion only to those whom He loves

[Hasan, Musnad Ahmad]
4. He will test you
It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah ( )said:

"

"
The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. When Allah loves a people
He tests them. Whoever accepts that wins His pleasure but whoever is
discontent with that earns His wrath. [Hasan- Sunan Ibn Majah]

Mankind nature is to transgress and transgressing is a trait of nafs but what stands between
YOU and transgression is ILM-knowledge .

You will be doomed when you have dunya without the knowledge of the Deen; you might end
like what Qaarun did.

In Saheeh ibn Hibban, Abu Hurairah narrates : Allaah wants you to be in Jannah in
certain degrees/status and highest is firdaws.

Allaah wants you to be in Jannatul-firdaws, but youre little bit not doing much in your ibaadah,
your obedience will not give you that status, Now, Allaah by testing you and you being patient
upon it, you will be given that status

But, when youre tested, when clamity strikes, say its because of my sins, do not say
Allaah wants to give you firdaws

5. IJAABAT-TUD-DUAA-Allaah will answer your supplications

Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon
him) said: "Whosoever shows enmity to someone devoted to Me, I shall be at
war with him. My servant draws not near to Me with anything more loved by
Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My servant
continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love
him.

When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which
he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were
he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask
Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it. I do not hesitate about anything as
much as I hesitate about [seizing] the soul of My faithful servant: he hates
death and I hate hurting him." [al-Bukhaari, ]

This hadeeth qudsi includes a number of benefits of Allaahs love for His slave:

(i) "I am his hearing with which he hears" i.e., he does not listen to anything but that
which Allaah loves.

(ii) "his seeing with which he sees" i.e., he does not see anything but that which Allaah
loves.
5

(iii) "his hand with which he strikes" i.e., he does not do anything with his hand but that
which Allaah loves.

(iv)"and his foot with which he walks" i.e., he does not go towards anything but that
which Allaah loves.

(v) "Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him" i.e., his duaas
(supplications) are heard and his requests are granted.

(vi) "and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it" i.e., he is protected
by Allaah from all things

6. IDHA AHABBALLAHU ABDAN ISTA-AMALA: If Allaah loves you-He will use

you
-this is the criteria-findout-what youve been used for?
Are you used for spreading rumours, spreading evil, causing fitna?
Are you a lock to evil & key to goodness?-analyze

The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention )
said: When Allaah wills good for His slave, He uses him. They said, How does
He use him? He said: He guides him to do good deeds before he dies. [Ahmad]

Imam al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated: the Messenger of Allah said on the Day of
Khaibar: I will give this banner (flag) tomorrow to a man whom Allah will
facilitate victory through him. He loves Allah and His Messenger, and is loved
by Allah and His Messenger. He (Sahl) said: So the people kept on thinking the
whole night as to which one from among them will be given the banner? In the morning
the people eagerly rushed to Allahs Messenger , all of them hoping to be the one who
is given it. He said: Where is Ali ibn Abi Talib? The people replied: He is suffering
from eye-trouble. He said: Send for him and bring him to me. So when Ali was
brought, the Messenger spat in his eyes and invoked Allah to cure him, and he
became al-right as if he had no ailment. The Prophet then gave him the banner.
[Bukhaaree & Muslim]

Its been narrated that Umar ibn al-Khattab throughout that night thought wish he was that
person.

So the sign that Allaah loves you is that you spreading the sunnah, spreading peace, building
masaajids, schools, hospitals etc.,

7. A good end
A good end means when a person was guided before his death to keep away from that which
angers the Lord and to repent from sin, and to focus on doing acts of worship and good deeds,
and then he died in this good state.

The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention )
also said: When Allah wills good for His slave, He sweetens him. He was asked,
What is this sweetening? He said: Allaah guides him to do righteous deeds
before he dies, then He takes (his soul) whilst he is in that state. [hasan-
Ahmad]

These are the 7 signs, where are you from these signs-its up to you!
