Introduccin

Enhorabuena por la adquisicin de su nuevo

producto. Ha optado por un producto de alta
calidad. El manual de instrucciones forma parte
de este producto. Contiene importantes indicacio-
nes sobre seguridad, uso y eliminacin. Antes de
usar el producto, familiarcese con todas las indi-
caciones de manejo y de seguridad. Utilice el
producto nicamente como se describe a conti-
nuacin y para las aplicaciones indicadas.
Adjunte igualmente toda la documentacin en
caso de entregar el producto a terceros.

Uso adecuado
Este detector multifuncional ha sido diseado
para la localizacin de vigas de metal o madera,
objetos metlicos, cavidades y cables elctricos.
El aparato est destinado nicamente para el uso
privado.

Indicaciones
generales de seguridad

Antes de usar el producto, familiarcese con todas

las indicaciones de manejo y seguridad. En caso
de entregar el producto a terceros, adjunte
igualmente toda la documentacin.

 Compruebe que el producto se encuentra en
perfectas condiciones antes de ponerlo en
funcionamiento! Si el aparato est averiado,
no lo utilice en ningn caso!
No exponga el aparato a la humedad. O
podra resultar daado.
Este producto puede ser utilizado por nios
mayores de 8 aos, as como por personas
con capacidades fsicas, sensoriales o menta-
les reducidas o que cuenten con poca experi-
encia y/o falta de conocimientos, siempre y
cuando se les haya enseado cmo utilizar
el aparato de forma segura y hayan com-
prendido los peligros que pueden resultar de
un mal uso del mismo. No permita que los
nios jueguen con el aparato. La limpieza y
el mantenimiento no podrn llevarse a cabo
por nios sin vigilancia.

Peligro de derrame de las pilas
En caso de que las pilas se sulfaten, retrelas
inmediatamente del aparato para evitar
daos!
Evite el contacto con la piel, ojos y mucosas.
En caso de que el cido de las pilas entre
en contacto con el cuerpo, lave inmediata-
mente la zona afectada con agua clara y
acuda inmediatamente a un mdico!
Utilice nicamente pilas del mismo tipo!
No mezcle las pilas usadas con pilas nuevas!
Evite condiciones y temperaturas extremas
que puedan influir sobre las pilas, por ejem-
plo, acercarlas a un radiador o exponerlas al
sol directo.
Retire las pilas del aparato si no han sido
utilizadas durante largo tiempo!

Peligro de daos en el aparato

Utilice exclusivamente el tipo de pila indicado!
Cuando coloque la pila preste atencin a la
polaridad correcta! sta se encuentra indi-
cada en el compartimento de las pilas.
Si fuera necesario, limpie los contactos de las
pilas y del aparato antes de introducirlas.
Extraiga inmediatamente las pilas agotadas
del aparato!

 ntes de poner en funcionamiento el aparato
retire la lmina de plstico de la pantalla 2
e inserte la pila.

 Insertar / Cambiar la pila

Si en la pantalla aparece el smbolo de la pila 9

, significa que la pila est prcticamente
gastada y se debe cambiar. Las pilas gastadas
pueden ocasionar resultados de medicin errneos.

Para colocar la pila, proceda como sigue:

Abra la tapa del compartimento de las pilas
de la parte trasera del aparato. Con ayuda
de la tira de tela, que se encuentra en el
interior del compartimento de las pilas 6 ,
podr sacar la pila gastada con ms facili-
dad. Para hacerlo, slo tiene que tirar de la
tira de tela.
Extraiga la pila gastada.
Conecte los contactos de la pila tipo bloque
de 9V a los contactos del conector de perfil.
Observe que la polaridad es la correcta.
sta viene indicada por la forma perfilada de
los contactos. Observe tambin que la tira de
tela se encuentra debajo de la pila.
Inserte la pila en el compartimento de las
pilas y cierre la tapa de modo que encaje
haciendo clic.

Apagado/Desconexin

P ulse brevemente el botn ON-/OFF 4

para encender o apagar el aparato.
Indicacin: si durante un minuto no pulsa
ningn botn, el aparato se apagar auto-
mticamente.

 Puesta en funcionamiento

P ulse brevemente la el botn ON/OFF 4

para encender el aparato (Fig. A). En la
parte inferior de la pantalla 2 aparece una
seleccin de opciones de men:

Al encender el aparato, la flecha de seleccin
() 10 se encuentra sobre la opcin de
men de bsqueda de vigas (STUD) 14 .
Pulsando repetidamente la tecla de seleccin
() 3 podr desplazar la flecha de selec-
cin hasta la opcin de men deseada. Las
opciones de men significan lo siguiente:
: Bsqueda de vigas de madera
: Bsqueda de metal
: Bsqueda de cavidades
: Bsqueda de cables de corriente
Oriente el detector hacia la superficie que va
a examinar pero hacia una zona en la que
sabe que no se encuentra el objeto que
busca. Entonces pulse el botn PUSH 5 y
mantngalo pulsado. Ahora oriente el detec-
tor con la parte inferior paralela a la superfi-
cie que desea examinar. Al hacerlo puede
que suenen varias seales acsticas breves.
Mientras en la pantalla no aparezca el
indicador de intensidad 8 , estas seales
acsticas no significan nada (Fig. B).
Si cerca del detector se encuentra un objeto
para el que la bsqueda ha sido activada, a
continuacin aparecern algunas barras del
indicador de intensidad. Cuanto ms cerca
del objeto buscado se encuentre el detector,
ms barras aparecern en el indicador de
intensidad (Fig. C).

 S i el detector se encuentra justo encima del
objeto buscado, sonar una seal acstica
continua.
Durante la bsqueda de cables de corriente,
adems del indicador de intensidad apare-
cer el smbolo de tensin ( ) 7 .

Consejos para la medicin

El botn de calibracin deber permanecer

pulsado durante todo el proceso de bs-
queda (calibracin y bsqueda).
Es posible que la calibracin falle su se
acerca demasiado o calibra directamente
sobre el objeto. Si la calibracin falla, la pan-
talla mostrar la intensidad total (fig. C) y
sonar un tono bip largo o el aparato no
podr buscar el objeto en la pared. Mueva y
mantenga el aparato varios centmetros ms
hacia la derecha o la izquierda de la superfi-
cie anterior y calibre de nuevo. Comience el
proceso de bsqueda.
Repita el proceso varias veces para garanti-
zar la precisin de la deteccin.
En funcin de la composicin de la pared
examinada, se pueden dar resultados de me-
dicin errneos. Por ello, le recomendamos
que antes de cada medicin compruebe la
posicin de una viga de madera o metal
conocida, una cavidad conocida o un cable
de corriente conocido. Si stos no son detec-
tados por el aparato, significar que el apa-
rato no es apropiado para examinar esta
pared.

 Evite tocar la pantalla LC durante el proceso
de medicin ya que podra afectar a la
precisin del aparato.
Tenga en cuenta que los cables de corriente
tambin pueden ser localizados como metal
o vigas. Utilice siempre adicionalmente la
bsqueda de tensin para excluir interpreta-
ciones errneas.
Tenga en cuenta que en la funcin de bs-
queda de vigas STUD tambin se pueden
reconocer vigas metlicas. Si quiere asegurarse
de que la viga encontrada no es una viga de
metal (o por ejemplo una tubera de agua),
utilice adicionalmente la bsqueda de metal
METAL.
Segn el grosor y el material de la pared, el
detector sealar posiblemente un hallazgo
antes de encontrarse sobre el material. En
este caso, marque el principio y el final del
rea sealizada en la muesca del cabezal
medidor. El centro del objeto buscado se en-
contrar entonces en el centro entre ambas
marcas.
Tenga en cuenta que los objetos metlicos
sern ms fciles de localizar cuanto ms
fciles de magnetizar sean. As, el hierro es
reconocible a mayor distancia que por ejem-
plo el cobre.
Tenga en cuenta que los cables de corriente
slo pueden ser reconocidos como tales si
estn conduciendo corriente. Por ello, los in-
terruptores de la luz deben estar encendidos
para que los cables conduzcan corriente. Del
mismo modo, todos los fusibles deben estar
en funcionamiento.
Tenga en cuenta que slo se detectarn
tensiones de 230V~ 50Hz.

 Limpieza y cuidado

L impie el aparato slo por fuera con un pao

suave y seco.

Eliminacin

E l embalaje est compuesto por mate-

riales no contaminantes que pueden
ser eliminados en el centro de reciclaje
local.

P ara obtener informacin sobre las

posibles formas de eliminacin del
producto al final de su vida til, acuda
a la administracin de su municipio o
ciudad.

Las pilas defectuosas o usadas deben ser recicla-

das segn lo indicado en la directiva
2006/66/CE y en sus modificaciones. Recicle
las pilas y/o el aparato en los puntos de recogida
adecuados.

L as pilas no deben eliminarse junto

con los residuos domsticos. Estos
pueden contener metales pesados
txicos que deben tratarse conforme a
la normativa aplicable a los residuos
especiales. Los smbolos qumicos de
los metales pesados son: Cd = cad-
mio, Hg = mercurio, Pb = plomo. Las
pilas usadas deben reciclarse en un
punto de recogida local.

El aparato ha sido fabricado cuidadosamente si-

guiendo exigentes normas de calidad y ha sido
probado antes de su entrega. En caso de defecto
del producto, usted tiene derechos legales frente
al vendedor del mismo. Nuestra garanta (abajo
indicada) no supone una restriccin de dichos
derechos legales.
Este aparato tiene una garanta de 3 aos a par-
tir de la fecha de compra. El plazo de garanta
comienza a partir de la fecha de compra. Por fa-
vor, conserve adecuadamente el justificante de
compra original. Este documento se requerir
como prueba de que se realiz la compra.
Si en el plazo de tres aos a partir de la fecha
de compra se produce un fallo de material o
fabricacin en este producto, repararemos el
producto o lo sustituiremos gratuitamente por un
producto nuevo (segn nuestra eleccin). La
garanta quedar anulada si el producto resulta
daado o es utilizado o mantenido de forma ina-
decuada.
La garanta cubre defectos de materiales o de
fabricacin. Esta garanta no cubre aquellos com-
ponentes del producto sometidos a un desgaste
normal y que, por ello, puedan considerarse
piezas de desgaste (por ej. las pilas). Tampoco
cubre daos de componentes frgiles como, por
ejemplo, los interruptores, bateras y piezas de
cristal.

Nel caso di perdite delle batterie, rimuoverle
subito dallapparecchio per evitare danni!

 Evitare il contatto con pelle, occhi e mucose!
In caso di contatto con gli acidi delle batterie
risciacquare le aree affette con acqua cor-
rente e chiedere immediatamente lintervento
di un medico!
Utilizzare solamente batterie dello stesso
tipo! Non mischiare le batterie nuove con
quelle vecchie!
Evitare condizioni e temperature estreme che
potrebbero avere influenza sulle batterie,
quali ad esempio vicinanza a caloriferi/
irraggiamento solare diretto.
Rimuovere le batterie dallapparecchio qua-
lora non venissero utilizzate per lungo tempo!

Pericolo di danno allapparecchio

Utilizzare esclusivamente il tipo di batterie
indicato!
Prestare attenzione alla polarit corretta
quando vengono inserite le batterie! Questa
viene indicata sul vano portabatterie.
Se necessario, pulire i contatti della batteria
e dellapparecchio prima di inserire le
batterie!
Rimuovere immediatamente dallapparecchio
le batterie esauste!

Prima della messa in funzione

P rima di mettere in funzione lapparecchio

rimuovere la pellicola di protezione dal rela-
tivo display 2 e inserire la batteria fornita in
dotazione.

 Inserimento/sostituzione

delle batterie

Se nel display apparso il simbolo della

batteria 9 , la batteria inserita pressoch
esaurita e deve essere sostituita. Le batterie
scariche possono alterare il risultato di misura.

Per linserimento della batteria,

procedere come segue:
Aprire il coperchio del vano portabatterie po-
sto sul retro dellapparecchio. Utilizzando la
striscia di stoffa disposta nellinterno del vano
batterie 6 , possibile estrarre pi
facilmente la vecchia batteria. A tale scopo
tirare soltanto la striscia di stoffa.
Eventualmente rimuovere la vecchia batteria.
Innestare i contatti della batteria rettangolare
a 9 V sui contatti del connettore profilato.
Fare attenzione alla polarit corretta. Questa
predefinita dalla forma del profilo dei con-
tatti. Far s anche che la striscia di stoffa si
trovi assolutamente al di sotto della batteria.
Inserire la batteria nel vano portabatteria e
richiudere il coperchio in modo che si senta il
suono dello scatto in posizione.

Attivazione/disattivazione/

spegnimento automatico

Premere brevemente il tasto ON/OFF 4 per

accendere e spegnere lapparecchio.
Nota: lapparecchio si spegne automatica-
mente se per un minuto non viene premuto
alcun tasto.

 Messa in funzione

P remere brevemente il tasto ON/OFF 4 ,

per accendere lapparecchio (fig. A). Nella
parte inferiore del display 2 viene visualiz-
zata una selezione di voci di menu:

Allaccensione la freccia di selezione () 10
si trova sulla voce di menu Rilevamento mon-
tanti (STUD) 14 . Premendo ripetutamente il
tasto di selezione () 3 portare la freccia di
selezione sulla voce di menu desiderata.
Significato delle singole voci di menu:
: Rilevamento montanti in legno
: Rilevamento metallo
: Rilevamento cavit
: Rilevamento di linee elettriche in tensione
Posizionare il rilevatore sulla superficie da
analizzare in un punto in cui si sa per certo
che non sono presenti gli oggetti che si stanno
cercando. Quindi premere e mantenere pre-
muto il tasto PUSH 5 . Posizionare il rilevatore
con il lato inferiore piatto sulla superficie da
analizzare. possibile che lapparecchio
emetta alcuni brevi segnali acustici. Se il display
non visualizza lindicatore di intensit 8 ,
questi segnali non sono significativi (fig. B).
Se in prossimit del rilevatore si trova un og-
getto, per il quale stata attivata la ricerca,
lindicatore di intensit inizia a visualizzare
alcune barre. Quanto pi il rilevatore si avvi-
cina alloggetto tanto pi aumenta il numero
di barre dellindicatore di intensit (fig. C).
Quando si trova esattamente sulloggetto, il
rilevatore emette un segnale acustico continuo.

 Durante la ricerca di linee elettriche, oltre
allindicatore di intensit compare anche il
simbolo della tensione ( ) 7 .

Consigli per la misurazione

Il pulsante di calibratura deve essere tenuto

premuto durante lintero processo di ricerca
(ricerca e rilevamento).
Qualora la calibratura fosse eseguita troppo
vicino alloggetto o direttamente sulloggetto,
questa potrebbe fallire. Qualora la calibra-
tura fallisse, il display indicher lintensit
massima (fig. C) e verr emesso un lungo
segnale acustico oppure non sar in grado
di cercare un oggetto qualsiasi nella parete.
Muovere il dispositivo tenendolo a diversi
centimetri verso destra o sinistra della superfi-
cie di cui sopra e procedere nuovamente con
la calibratura. Iniziare il processo di ricerca.
Ripetere il processo pi volte per garantire un
rilevamento preciso.
In base alla natura della parete sulla quale si
svolge la ricerca si possono verificare errori
di misurazione. Prima di ogni misurazione
pertanto necessario testare il rilevatore su un
montante di legno o metallo, una cavit o
una linea elettrica di cui si conosca la posi-
zione. Se lapparecchio non ne rileva la pre-
senza, il substrato non adatto per essere
analizzato con questo apparecchio.
Evitare di toccare il display LC durante il
processo di rilevamento, poich questazione
potrebbe compromettere la precisione del
dispositivo.

 Pu capitare anche che il rilevatore scambi le
linee elettriche per oggetti metallici o mon-
tanti. Utilizzare sempre la funzione di ricerca
della tensione per evitare false interpreta-
zioni.
Si noti anche che nella funzione di ricerca
montanti STUD il rilevatore localizza anche
i montanti di metallo. Per essere sicuri che il
montante individuato non sia in metallo (o ad
esempio un tubo dellacqua), utilizzare an-
che la funzione di ricerca metalli METAL.
In funzione dello spessore della parete e del
materiale, possibile che il rilevatore segnali
la presenza di un oggetto ancora prima di
trovarsi direttamente su di esso. In questo
caso contrassegnare linizio e la fine della-
rea segnalata sulla testa di misurazione. Il
centro delloggetto ricercato si trova quindi a
met tra le due tacche di riferimento contras-
segnate.
Il rilevamento di oggetti metallici tanto mi-
gliore quanto pi sono magnetizzabili. Per
questo motivo il ferro pu essere localizzato
a distanze maggiori rispetto, ad esempio, al
rame.
Le linee elettriche possono essere individuate
solo se conducono tensione. Pertanto linter-
ruttore della luce deve essere sempre acceso,
di modo che il cavo che parte da esso con-
duca tensione. Allo stesso modo tutti i fusibili
devono essere avvitati e attivati.
Solo le tensioni 230V~ 50Hz possono es-
sere rilevate.

 Pulizia e manutenzione

 Inserir/substituir a pilha

Se o smbolo da pilha 9 aparecer no visor,

sinal que a pilha colocada est praticamente
esgotada e tem de ser substituda. Pilhas vazias
podem corromper o resultado da medio.

Para colocar a pilha, proceda da

seguinte forma:
Abra a tampa do compartimento das pilhas
na parte traseira do aparelho. Com a ajuda
da tira de tecido que se encontra no interior
do compartimento da pilha 6 , conseguir
retirar a pilha usada facilmente. Puxe
somente pela tira de tecido.
Retire a pilha usada.
Insira os contactos da pilha de bloco de 9V
nos contactos do conector de perfil. Tenha
em ateno a polaridade correta. Esta
indicada atravs da forma do perfil dos
contactos. Certifique-se tambm de que a tira
de tecido se encontra por baixo da pilha.
Insira a pilha no compartimento das pilhas e
volte a fechar a tampa at ouvir o som de
encaixe.

para ligar ou desligar o aparelho.
Nota: se no premir qualquer boto durante
um minuto enquanto o aparelho est ligado,
o aparelho desliga-se automaticamente.

para ligar o aparelho (fig. A). Em baixo, no
visor 2 , aparece uma lista dos pontos do
menu:

A seta de seleo () 10 encontra-se, ao
ligar, por cima do ponto do menu Deteo
de vigas (STUD) 14 . Com a presso repetida
do boto de seleo () 3 , poder deslo-
car a seta de seleo para o ponto do menu
desejado. O significado dos vrios pontos
do menu o seguinte:
: Deteo de vigas de madeira
: Deteo de metais
: Deteo de cavidades
: Deteo de cabos eltricos
Desloque o detetor pela rea a examinar,
para uma zona em que saiba que no se
encontra nenhum dos objetos que procura.
Prima depois o boto PUSH 5 e mantenha-
-o premido. Desloque o detetor com a parte
de baixo plana sobre a rea a examinar.
Possivelmente ouvir aqui alguns sons de
sinalizao breves. Enquanto no aparecer
nenhum indicador de intensidade 8 no
ecr, estes no tm qualquer significado
(fig. B).
Se nas proximidades do detetor se encontrar
um objeto para o qual a deteo est ati-
vada, aparecero primeiro por fora algumas
barras no indicador de intensidade. Com a
aproximao crescente do objeto procurado,
o nmero de barras do indicador de intensi-
dade aumenta (fig. C).

 S e o detetor se encontrar precisamente por
cima do objeto procurado, ouve-se um som
de sinalizao contnuo.
Na procura de um cabo eltrico, aparece
adicionalmente ao indicador de intensidade
o sinal de tenso ( ) 7 .

Dicas para a medio

O boto de calibrao precisa permanecer

primado durante todo o processo de procura
(calibrao e procura).
Se calibrar perto demais ou diretamente no
objeto, a calibrao pode falhar. Caso a ca-
librao falhe, o visualizador mostra a inten-
sidade total (Fig. C) e um longo som de piep
soa ou no pode procurar um certo objeto
na parede. Mova o aparelho alguns centme-
tros para cima ou para a esquerda da super-
fcies anterior e calibre novamente. Inicie o
processo de procura.
Repita o processo algumas, para garantir a
preciso da medio.
Dependendo da constituio da parede
examinada, possvel que ocorram medi-
es incorretas. Por isso, antes de cada medi-
o verifique a posio de uma viga de
metal ou de madeira conhecida ou de um
cabo eltrico conhecido. Se estes no forem
detetados pelo aparelho, ento o subsolo
no adequado para examinar com este
aparelho.
Evite tocar no ecr de LC durante o processo
de medio, pois pode influenciar a preciso
do aparelho.

 T enha em ateno que os cabos eltricos
tambm podem ser localizados como metais
ou como vigas. Utilize sempre, adicionalmente,
a deteo de tenso para poder excluir inter-
pretaes incorretas.
Tenha em ateno que na funo Deteo
de vigas STUD, tambm so detetadas
vigas de metal. Se quiser certificar-se de que
a viga encontrada no uma viga de metal
(ou, por exemplo, um tubo de gua), utilize
adicionalmente a deteo de metais METAL.
Dependendo da espessura da parede e do
material, o detetor indicar provavelmente
um objeto encontrado j antes de se situar
por cima do material. Neste caso, marque o
incio e o fim da rea assinalada no entalhe
da cabea de medio. O centro do objeto
procurado encontra-se ento no meio, entre
ambas as marcas.
Lembre-se que os objetos de metal so to
mais fceis de localizar quanto mais magne-
tizveis forem. O ferro , por isso, detetado a
uma distncia muito maior do que o cobre,
por exemplo.
Lembre-se que os cabos eltricos s podem
ser detetados como tal se forem condutores
de tenso. Os interruptores de luz tm, por
isso, de estar sempre ligados para que os
condutores deles derivados estejam sob ten-
so. Da mesma forma, todos os disjuntores
tm de estar enroscados ou ligados.
Tenha em ateno que apenas so deteta-
das tenses de 230V~ 50Hz.

 efore initial use, remove the protective film
from the device display 2 and insert the
enclosed battery.

Inserting/changing

the battery

If the battery symbol 9 appears in the

display, the inserted battery is almost drained
and must be replaced. Empty batteries can falsify
the measured result.

To insert the battery proceed as follows:
Open the battery compartment cover on the
back of the device. You can remove the used
battery more easily with the aid of the mate-
rial strip, which is inside the battery compart-
ment 6 . Just pull on the material strip.
Remove the used battery.
Plug the contacts of the 9V block battery on
the contacts of the profiled plug. Make sure
you fit the batteries the right way round. This
is specified by the profiled shape of the con-
tacts. Also ensure without fail that the mate-
rial strip is underneath the battery.
Insert the battery in the battery compartment
and close the cover again, so that it audibly
latches into place.

Note: If you do not press any button for one
minute after the device has been switched on,
the device automatically switches off.

B riefly press the ON/OFF button 4 to

switch the device on (Fig. A). A selection of
menu points appears at the bottom of the
display 2 :

The selection arrow () 10 is over the menu
point for Beam search (STUD) 14 , when the

 device is switched on. Bring the selection
arrow over the desired menu point by repeat-
edly pressing the selection button () 3 . The
meaning of the individual menu points are:

: Power line search
Guide the detector over a location on the
surface to be examined, where you know that
there is no object, which you are looking for.
Then press the PUSH button 5 and keep it
pressed down. Guide the detector, with the
underside flat, over the surface to be exam-
ined. It is possible that during this some short
signal tones may sound. These are however
without any meaning, so long as no intensity
display 8 appears in the device display
(Fig. B).
If there is an object, for which the search is
activated, in the vicinity of the detector,
several bars appear at first on the intensity
display. As proximity to the search object in-
creases, the number of bars increases on the
intensity display (Fig. C).
If the detector is exactly over the search
object, a continuous signal tone sounds.
In the case of a search for a power line, the
voltage sign ( ) 7 also appears in addition
to the intensity display.

Tips on measurement

T he calibration button must remain pressed

during the entire search process (calibration
and search).

 If you calibrate too closely to the object or di-
rectly on the object, the calibration can fail. If
the calibration fails, the LC display shows the
full intensity (Fig. C) and a long beeping tone
sounds or cant search any object in the wall.
Move and hold the device several centime-
ters further to the right or left of the previous
surface and recalibrate. Start the search
process.
Repeat several times to ensure the detection
accuracy.
Incorrect measurements can occur depending
on the nature of the examined wall. Check
therefore before every measurement the posi-
tion of a known wooden or metal beam, of a
known void or a known power line. If these
are not detected by the device, the
substrate is not suitable for a search with this
device.
Avoid touching the LC display during meas-
urements as it may affect the accuracy of the
device.
Please note that power lines can also be lo-
cated as metal or as beams. Always use the
additional voltage search, so that you can
exclude any incorrect interpretations.
Please note that metal beams are also detected
in the Beam search STUD function. If you
find a beam and you want to be sure that it is
not a metal beam (or for example a water pipe),
use the additional Metal search METAL.
Depending on the wall thickness and mate-
rial, it is possible that the detector may signal
a finding, before it is over the material. In this
case mark the start and end of the signalled
area at the indentation of the measuring

 head. The middle of the sought object lies in
the middle between the two markings.
Please note that metal objects are located more
readily the easier they can be magnetized.
This means that iron is detected at a significantly
greater distance than copper for example.
Please note that power lines can only be
detected as such, if they are carrying voltage.
Light switches must always therefore be
switched on, so that the conductor is carrying
voltage. All the fuses must similarly be in-
serted or switched on.
Please note that only voltages of 230V~
50Hz are detected.

Cleaning and Care

Verwendung

Dieser Multifunktionsdetektor ist zur Ortung von

Metall- oder Holztrgern, von Metallobjekten,
Hohlrumen und elektrischen Leitungen konzi-
piert. Das Gert ist ausschlielich fr den privaten
Gebrauch bestimmt.

Gefahr des Auslaufens der Batterien
Im Falle eines Auslaufens der Batterien entfer-
nen Sie diese sofort aus dem Gert, um
Beschdigungen zu vermeiden!
Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt mit Haut, Augen
und Schleimhuten! Splen Sie bei Kontakt
mit Batteriesure die betroffenen Stellen so-
fort mit klarem Wasser und suchen Sie umge-
hend einen Arzt auf!
Verwenden Sie nur Batterien des gleichen
Typs! Alte Batterien nicht mit neuen mischen!
Vermeiden Sie extreme Bedingungen und
Temperaturen, die auf Batterien einwirken
knnen z. B. auf Heizkrpern/direkte
Sonneneinstrahlung.
Entfernen Sie die Batterien, wenn sie lngere
Zeit nicht verwendet worden sind, aus dem
Gert!

Gefahr der Gertebeschdigung

Ausschlielich den angegebenen Batterietyp
verwenden!
Achten Sie beim Einlegen auf die richtige Po-
laritt! Diese wird im Batteriefach angezeigt.
Reinigen Sie Batterie- und Gertekontakt vor
dem Einlegen falls erforderlich!
Entfernen Sie verbrauchte Batterien umge-
hend aus dem Gert!

Vor der Inbetriebnahme

Entfernen Sie vor der Inbetriebnahme die

Schutzfolie vom Display 2 des Gerts und
legen Sie die beiliegende Batterie ein.

Wenn im Display das Batteriesymbol 9

erscheint, ist die eingelegte Batterie nahezu er-
schpft und muss ausgetauscht werden. Leere
Batterien knnen das Messergebnis verflschen.

Gehen Sie zum Einlegen der Batterie

wie folgt vor:
ffnen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel auf der
Rckseite des Gerts. Mit Hilfe des Stoffstrei-
fens, der sich im Inneren des Batteriefachs 6
befindet, knnen Sie die alte Batterie leichter
herausnehmen. Ziehen Sie hierzu lediglich
am Stoffstreifen.
Entnehmen Sie ggf. die alte Batterie.
Stecken Sie die Kontakte der 9V-Blockbatte-
rie auf die Kontakte des Profilsteckers. Achten
Sie hierbei auf die richtige Polaritt. Diese ist
durch die Profilform der Kontakte vorgegeben.
Achten Sie auch unbedingt darauf, dass der
Stoffstreifen sich unterhalb der Batterie befindet.
Legen Sie die Batterie in das Batteriefach und
schlieen Sie den Deckel wieder, so dass er
hrbar einrastet.

 rcken Sie kurz die ON-/OFF-Taste 4 , um
das Gert ein- bzw. auszuschalten.
Hinweis: Bettigen Sie bei eingeschaltetem
Gert eine Minute lang keine Taste, schaltet
sich das Gert selbstndig aus.

 Inbetriebnahme

D rcken Sie kurz die ON-/OFF-Taste 4 , um

das Gert einzuschalten (Abb. A). Unten im
Display 2 erscheint eine Auswahl von
Menpunkten:

Der Auswahlpfeil () 10 befindet sich beim
Einschalten ber dem Menpunkt Trgersu-
che (STUD) 14 . Durch ggf. wiederholtes
Drcken der Auswahl-Taste () 3 bringen
Sie den Auswahlpfeil ber den gewnschten
Menpunkt. Die Bedeutung der einzelnen
Menpunkte sind:
: Holztrgersucher
: Metallsuche
: Hohlraumsuche
: Stromleitungssuche
Fhren Sie den Detektor auf die zu untersuchende
Flche auf eine Stelle, von welcher Sie wissen,
dass sich dort kein Objekt befindet, das Sie
suchen. Drcken Sie dann die PUSH-Taste 5
und halten Sie sie gedrckt. Fhren Sie den
Detektor mit der Unterseite flach ber die zu
untersuchende Flche. Mglicherweise
ertnen hierbei einige kurze Signaltne. So-
lange im Display keine Intensittsanzeige 8
erscheint, sind diese ohne Bedeutung (Abb. B).
Befindet sich in der Nhe des Detektors ein
Objekt, fr welches die Suche aktiviert ist,
erscheinen zunchst auen einige Balken der
Intensittsanzeige. Mit zunehmender Annhe-
rung an das gesuchte Objekt nimmt die An-
zahl der Balken der Intensittsanzeige zu
(Abb. C).

gesuchten Objekt, ertnt ein durchgehender
Signalton.
Bei der Suche nach einer Stromleitung er-
scheint zustzlich zu der Intensittsanzeige
das Spannungszeichen ( ) 7 .

Tipps zur Messung

D ie Kalibrierungs-Taste muss whrend des

gesamten Suchprozesses gedrckt bleiben
(Kalibrierung und Suche).
Wenn Sie zu nah am Objekt oder direkt am
Objekt kalibrieren, kann die Kalibrierung fehl-
schlagen. Schlgt die Kalibrierung fehl, zeigt
das Display die volle Intensitt an (Abb. C)
und ein langer Piepton ertnt oder kann ein
beliebiges Objekt in der Wand nicht suchen.
Bewegen und halten Sie das Gert mehrere
Zentimeter weiter nach rechts oder links von
der vorherigen Oberflche und kalibrieren
Sie neu. Starten Sie den Suchprozess.
Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang mehrmals, um
die Erfassungsgenauigkeit zu gewhrleisten.
Abhngig von der Beschaffenheit der unter-
suchten Wand kann es zu Fehlmessungen
kommen. Prfen Sie deswegen vor jeder Mes-
sung die Position eines bekannten Holz- oder
Metall-Trgers, eines bekannten Hohlraums
oder einer bekannten Stromleitung. Wenn
diese von dem Gert nicht erkannt werden,
ist der Untergrund zur Suche mit diesem
Gert nicht geeignet.
Vermeiden Sie eine Berhrung des LC-Dis-
plays whrend des Messvorgangs, weil diese
die Genauigkeit des Gerts beeinflussen kann.

 B eachten Sie, dass auch Stromleitungen als
Metall oder als Trger geortet werden kn-
nen. Verwenden Sie immer zustzlich die
Spannungssuche, um Fehlinterpretationen
ausschlieen zu knnen.
Beachten Sie, dass in der Funktion Trgersu-
che STUD auch Metalltrger erkannt
werden. Wollen Sie sicherstellen, dass es sich
bei dem gefundenen Trger nicht um einen
Metalltrger (oder beispielsweise eine Was-
serleitung) handelt, verwenden Sie zustzlich
die Metallsuche METAL.
Je nach Wandstrke und Material signalisiert
der Detektor mglicherweise schon einen Fund,
bevor er sich ber dem Material befindet.
Markieren Sie in diesem Fall Anfang und Ende
des signalisierten Bereichs an der Kerbe des
Messkopfs. Die Mitte des gesuchten Objekts
befindet sich dann in der Mitte zwischen den
beiden Markierungen.
Beachten Sie, dass metallene Objekte umso
besser geortet werden, je leichter sie
magnetisierbar sind. So wird Eisen in einem
wesentlich greren Abstand erkannt als
beispielsweise Kupfer.
Beachten Sie, dass Stromleitungen nur als
solche erkannt werden knnen, wenn sie
Spannung fhren. So mssen Lichtschalter im-
mer eingeschaltet sein, damit der von ihnen
abgehende Leiter Spannung fhrt. Ebenso
mssen smtliche Sicherungen eingedreht
bzw. eingeschaltet sein.
Beachten Sie, dass nur Spannungen der
Gre 230V~ 50Hz erkannt werden.
