Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)
1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from completing this field
experience?

During this field experience, I worked with students by helping with software training of Canvas and Office 365. I also taught the
Digital Citizenship curriculum to students. Our school website is another area where I helped out. I updated and did maintenance
on pages and added new content. Being a technology leader means being involved in a variety ways.
2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected above. Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and reflect on all 3knowledge, skills, and dispositions.)

Knowledge

A deep knowledge of software is needed when training students and faculty. Troubleshooting tips come in handy due to the
unexpected challenges. The Digital Citizenship curriculum should be known and used to model and reinforcement best practices.
Knowledge of PSC and ISTE is needed to align teaching to standards.
Skills

Teaching skills are needed to help facilitate group training. Skills with WordPress were needed to update my schools website.
The skill of managing digital tools and resources is important.
Dispositions -

All students can learn and should have access to technology. Schools should strive for digital equity Students and staff should
practice Digital Citizenship.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the impact be
assessed?

The field experience provided me personally with the valuable opportunity to apply concepts that I learned through this class. As
teachers grow professionally, the overall schools shared vision grows and develops. I also know that the lessons impacted student
learning in a positive way. Content standards were taught including digital citizenship. I think my acquired knowledge of 21st
century teaching will impact my students, school and staff by better serving the needs of our diverse learners.
