definisi plstic surgery

Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty involving the restoration, reconstruction, or

alteration of the human body. It includes cosmetic or aesthetic surgery,
reconstructive surgery, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, microsurgery, and the
treatment of burns.[1]

Plastic surgery is the practice of performing operations to repair or replace skin

which has been damaged, or to improve people's appearance.

definisi plstic surgery for ppierence

Plastic surgery is one of the easiest ways of rectifying ones not so perfect features
in a bid to achieve the perfect look.

You might require a surgical procedure of this type if an accident has left visible
scars on any part of the body. In addition, cosmetic surgery is not a process which is
restricted to the face alone. Processes such as breast implants or liposuction are
also categorised under cosmetic surgical procedures. Broadly therefore, any surgical
procedure for body that aims to alter your physical appearance in any possible way
can be termed as a plastic or a cosmetic surgical procedure. However, any surgical
procedure can have serious repercussions on your health; therefore you need to
evaluate your decision well, before going under the knife.

conclution

Cosmetic surgery does incorporate several positives as well as negatives. You need
to weigh safety of plastic surgery procedures before deciding to opt for them.

cause

1. Its pricey.

money syringe

According to the American Academy of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Americans spent

over $7 billion last year in surgical procedures alone. Another

$5 billion was spent on non-surgical procedures, like injectables, and skin

rejuvenation services. Nearly a third of surgical procedures were performed on
patients over 50. The most popular procedures for post 50s? Liposuction, eyelid
surgery, and facelifts. And it doesnt come cheap. On average, a facelift costs over
$6,500. A tummy tuck? Over $5,000. A nose job? Over $4,000. Thats a few months
mortgage payment. Or a vacation or two, or more.

Factor in any time you have to take off from work to recover (or hide), and what
youll have to pay for touch-up procedures if youre not happy with the results. Plus,
not all surgery is permanent. Things like breast implants arent forever. According to
the FDA, one in five women will have to have their implants removed within eight to
10 years because of complications. At around $3,000 bucks a pop, youre talking
more than chump change.
2. It can be addictive.

Sure, youll think its just this one time thats probably what Joan said. But
countless plastic surgery addicts have said the same thing. In 2011, Cindy Jackson,
broke the world record for having the most cosmetic procedures. (Yes, theres a
World Record for that.) Jackson, 55 at the time, has spent around $100,000 on
procedures including facelifts, nose jobs, and lipo since she first started in 1988. I
didnt set out to break, to set a world record, it was never my ambition, its just that
I had so much done, she said in an interview with ABC.

Its not an official diagnosis, psychiatrist Katharine Phillips at Rhode Islands Butler
Hospital told People. But certainly patients can feel very driven to get cosmetic
procedures; that it is their only hope. According to Phillips, while body dysmorphic
disorder affects under 5 percent of Americans, it affects up to 15 percent of
cosmetic surgery patients.

Think about when you try to dye your hair and dont like the results. What do you
do? You try to fix it with more hair dye. More often than not, the results just arent
pretty.

3. Its risky business.

Like you diligently read the warning labels on medications and beauty products (we
hope), so should you be aware of the risks related to cosmetic procedures. You may
not have known, but pre-existing conditions, like heart disease, diabetes, obesity, or
even a smoking habit, can all interfere and cause complications, putting your health
at risk. According to the Mayo Clinic, there are multiple risks, as with any surgery.
Scars, nerve damage, infections, and blood clots are all possible complications.

Breast implants in particular can have a multitude of complications. While you may
expect larger, perkier, more attractive breasts, asymmetry, deflation, or rippling can
occur, worsening the appearance. And if youre seeking a quick fix for your
saddlebags, liposuction likely wont remove your fat forever. A 2011 study at the
University of Colorado Denver found the fat you lose, often rebounds just a year
later, and reappears with a vengeance, particularly on your tummy and arms. Yeesh.

4. You might be unhappy with the results.

plastic surgery bad

You only have one body, and once you change it through cosmetic surgery, things
will never really be the same again. You might think youve got nothing to lose, but
surveys have shown that thats not always the sentiment youll have after. In fact,
one study showed that facelifts, brow lifts, and eye lifts dont really make you more
attractive.

A study by the Aesthetic Surgery Institute found that just under a third of patients
were unhappy with some aspect of their facelift. A Norwegian study found that
adolescent girls who underwent cosmetic surgery were more likely to show
symptoms of anxiety and depression, which researchers concluded, means cosmetic
surgery wont fix any underlying mental health problems which drive you to it.

Plus if things wind up poorly, chances are, you might be even unhappier than you
were to start with.

So, love yourself, and leave your pretty face alone.

Nobody is completely happy with their body. Some bits are too small, too big, wonky
or unusual colours and its easy to develop insecurities. A few years ago, you just
had to deal with it. But since the rise of plastic surgery, almost anything can be
trimmed, enlarged or relocated, until youve got your ideal body. But is it really
worth going under the knife? Heres five reasons why we say, NO!

1. Its dangerous

Surgery is surgery, regardless of what its for. Whilst getting bigger boobs is rarely a
matter of life and death, it still exposes you to post-operative risks. Theres a small
chance of dying under sedation, which is present in any operation. Youre also at
risk from blood clots, nerve damage, scars and infections. Dont undergo surgery
unless you absolutely have to.

2. It isnt permanent

Despite what celebrities might tell you, cosmetic surgery wont last forever. Take
liposuction, for example. Whilst its an easy way to ditch that muffin top, without
killing yourself at the gym, the fat can rebuild itself within a year. Likewise, 1 in 5
women will need their breast implants removed, due to complications, and even
more will experience sagging, rippling and deflation.

3. Its expensive

Since cosmetic surgery is elective, it isnt covered by the NHS, unless you can spin it
as a life-saving operation. Obviously, few can, so expect to part with some serious
money. Were talking thousands here. Breast augmentation averages around 2000,
whereas tummy tucks are over 5000. On top of that, youve got lost income from
recovering, and any touch-up operations after youve healed. Considering cosmetic
surgery isnt permanent (see above), its a hefty bill, for little pay-off.
4. Its difficult to stop

Weve all seen those celebrity mugshots, filled with puffy lips, blackened eyes and
shiny, plastic-looking cheeks. People always ask how they could do that to
themselves. Well, its easier than you think. Like a lot of body modification, plastic
surgery is addictive, as people use it to overcome insecurities. More often than not,
they arent happy with the results, so they pay for more surgery to fix it. Before they
know it, their face is more plastic than skin.

5. It isnt always necessary

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Unfortunately, our own eyes are a lot
more critical. We often see flaws that nobody else does, and exaggerate them to
insane proportions. Sometimes, its mostly in your head. Thats why a lot of doctors
will recommend psychiatric evaluations before cosmetic surgery, since its safer to
change your outlook, than get sliced open. Only opt for plastic surgery if its your
only choice. Explore all other avenues first.

menghadapinya. Tapi sejak bangkitnya operasi plastik, hampir semuanya bisa
dipangkas, diperbesar atau direlokasi, sampai Anda memiliki tubuh ideal Anda. Tapi
apakah itu benar-benar layak di bawah pisau? Inilah lima alasan mengapa kita
berkata, TIDAK!

Hanya memilih operasi plastik
jika itu satu-satunya pilihan Anda. Jelajahi semua jalan lain terlebih dahulu.
