UNDERSTANDING THE LCD SCREEN:

Downlink Center Frequency: Measured in MHz.

Detected Cellular Downlink Signal: Measured in dBm

Pass Bandwidth: Also measured in MHz. Used to

select frequency (ie, if at 1.5, that
means 0.75MHz on each side of
872.75, or 872.00 873.50)

COMMON FREQUENCY RANGES
The Signal Detector looks for the downlink frequency. Here are the common
frequencies for US cellular carriers:

700 MHz 728 to 757

850 MHz 869 to 894
1900 MHz - 1930 to 1990
AWS - 2110 to 2155

Things to look for:
-Check that the license is Active (found under STATUS)
-Look for (under MARKET):
-Channel Block
-Associated Frequencies

TIPS AND TRICKS
Do your homework research your frequencies
The battery pack can be attached to the RF Detector using the Velcro (included)
The Wide-Band antenna can help you aim a directional antenna
If looking for a signal that is creating overload:
Select the offending band (ie, 700, 800, 1900, AWS)
Select the 10MHz Pass Bandwidth (number to the bottom left)
Use the Channel Select button to narrow down what frequency the overload is
emanating from.
Select the 1.5 MHz Pass Bandwidth, to determine the exact frequency the
overload is from
This will match up with your list of carriers (homework from earlier)
