RELIGIONS AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON HUMANITY

Some people think that we do not really need religions since they are responsible for
spreading ignorance and superstitious beliefs, and for murdering millions in the name of
God. Others claim that there is no morality without the religion and besides, many
people feel lost and scared in such a big world. Which view do you agree with?
Stage 2
Each student should write one paragraph (Each paragraph must have minimum fifteen
(15) and maximum twenty (20) sentences) about the topic. The paragraph must be
written with students own words. If the student uses the text from internet, he/she has to
indicate the source.
After that, each student has to write at least two comments on the contribution of other
group member. The comments must be significant for the construction of the
collaborative work, should indicate the mistakes and aspect to improve. On the other
hand, the comments have to contribute to the discussion.
Stage 3
Each student has to accomplish the selected role and make at least 3 interventions in
the forum.
The compiler has to consolidate the contributions of all the participants, including the
comments and observations, in one single document. Only the contributions of the

Religion, has always played an important role in the life of the human being, is present
when making decisions and we could even say that moderates their behavior when
interacting with society.
The birth of religion began in ancient times and has been present throughout the
existence of man, since the fact of believing in some god or divinity makes the man feel
part of a group that shares his beliefs and customs.
Man has created his gods according to his needs, that is to say to be able to give
explanation to phenomena that happened around him.
Over time, more and more religions were created, each with different norms and forms
of worship, or created to complacency, because the rules they had were created by their
leader as they pleased.
Religion in politics.
Perhaps we might think that religion and politics have nothing to do with each other.
Unfortunately these go hand in hand and this has been this way since ancient times.
Most of the decisions that governments have made have been influenced by religion
and even had much to do with warfare.
One thing we must keep in mind is that while the church had sufficient influence over the
government in any way the conditions were better than for it, since the church was the
only one that was enriched.
So it is that: What was the point of the church intervening?
This happens all over the world. Every government has a religious influence that
perhaps no longer exerts as much power as before in its decisions but continues to
influence its behavior.
Religions mark patterns of behavior that are supposed to govern our lives as loving, not
committing adultery or fornication, forgiving, etc.
Of course there will be those who say that religion if it helps us at least to live together in
a healthy way within society. But then not all human beings have a common sense that
makes us know that it is good and that it is bad and how we should act.
Another thing we should perhaps take into consideration are the divisions that
sometimes create religion among people, since it is assumed that the church should
unify and not separate people.
In conclusion
Religion if it is something that makes us more kind or makes us have a godly fear since
they teach us that there is a being that sees us and asks us to act well, but also I know
that human beings could act well and without necessarily being Religious, something
that I could say is that I see it bad that the church or any religion gets involved in politics.

And as for the past that has the human being with religion, I have no doubt that the need
to believe in something, beyond us is something inherent in the human being.

La religin, siempre ha jugado un papel importante en la vida del ser humano, est
presente a la hora de tomar decisiones e incluso podramos decir que modera su
comportamiento al interactuar con la sociedad.
El nacimiento de la religin comenz desde tiempos remotos, y ha estado presente
durante toda la existencia del hombre, ya que el hecho de creer en algn dios o
divinidad hace al hombre sentirse parte de un grupo que comparte sus creencias y
costumbres.
El hombre ha creado a sus dioses de acuerdo a sus necesidades, es decir para poder
dar explicacin a fenmenos que ocurran a su alrededor.
A travs del tiempo se fueron creando ms y ms religiones, cada una de ellas con
distintas normas y formas de adoracin, o bien, creadas a complacencia, porque las
reglas que tienen fueron creadas por su dirigente segn le convenan.
La religin en la poltica.
Quizs podramos pensar que la religin y la poltica no tienen nada que ver la una con
la otra.
Lamentablemente estas van de la mano y esto viene siendo de esta manera desde
tiempos remotos.
La mayora de las decisiones que han tomado los gobiernos han estado influenciadas
por la religin e incluso ha tenido mucho que ver en los conflictos blicos.
Algo que debemos tener presente es que mientras la iglesia tuvo suficiente influencia
sobre el gobierno de ninguna forma fueron mejores las condiciones ms que para ella,
ya que la iglesia era la nica que se enriqueca.
As es que: De que serva entonces que la iglesia interviniera?
Esto sucede en todo el mundo. todo gobierno tiene una influencia religiosa que quizs
ya no ejerce tanto poder como antes en sus decisiones pero si sigue influyendo en su
comportamiento.
Las religiones marcan pautas de comportamiento que supuestamente deben regir
nuestras vidas como amar, no cometer adulterio o fornicacin, perdonar, etc.
Desde luego habr quien diga que la religin si nos ayuda por lo menos a convivir de
una manera sana dentro de la sociedad. pero que luego no todos los seres humanos
tenemos un sentido comn que nos hace saber que es bueno y que es malo y como
debemos actuar.

Otra cosa que quizs deberamos tomar en consideracin son las divisiones que a
veces crea la religin entre las personas, siendo que se supone que la iglesia debera
de unificar y no separar a las personas.
En conclusin
La religin si es algo que quizs nos hace ms bondadosos o nos hace tener un temor
piadoso ya que nos ensean que hay un ser que nos ve y nos pide que actuemos bien,
pero tambin s que los seres humanos podramos actuar bien y sin necesariamente
ser religiosos, algo que yo si podra decir es que veo mal que la iglesia o cualquier
religin se involucre en la poltica.
Y en cuanto al pasado que tiene el ser humano con la religin, no me cabe duda alguna
de que la necesidad de creer en algo, ms all de nosotros es algo inherente en el ser
humano.

I think that religions are very important to the world, but every person has the right to
have his own opinions and beliefs, this is a free world and we are all free to have the
religion with which we feel comfortable.
Religion has always provoked discussions between people and over the years opinions
about religion have increased.
Religious culture depends on the country which people belong, as well as the beliefs of
our ancestors, who have made us believe that we belong to a culture without our own
decision. Throughout history, different religions, gods and beliefs have emerged, and
these religions have created behaviors in humans and in many occasions have defined
us.
But is religion what guides the actions of people? Or a religion can make some people
better than others?
In my opinion every person decided who wants to be and how we act, and no matter
what religion we belong, Each person has the possibility to choose what is better for
each one.
From another point of view, religion carries other things like values and forms part of the
social system and there are global religions such as Catholicism. That, for me is one of
the most popular religions around the World and is the each one how has more seniority
in our country.

Creo que las religiones son muy importantes para el mundo, pero cada persona tiene
derecho a tener sus propias opiniones y creencias, este es un mundo libre y todos
somos libres para tener la religin con la que nos sentimos cmodos.
La religin ha provocado siempre discusiones entre la gente y sobre los aos las
opiniones sobre religin han aumentado.
La cultura religiosa depende del pas al que pertenecen las personas, as como de las
creencias de nuestros antepasados, que nos han hecho creer que pertenecemos a una
cultura sin nuestra propia decisin. A lo largo de la historia, han surgido diferentes
religiones, dioses y creencias, y estas religiones han creado comportamientos en los
seres humanos y en muchas ocasiones nos ha definido.
Pero es la religin lo que gua las acciones de la gente? O una religin puede hacer
que algunas personas mejor que otras?
En mi opinin cada persona decidi quin quiere ser y cmo actuamos, y no importa a
qu religin pertenezcamos, cada persona tiene la posibilidad de elegir lo que es mejor
para cada uno.
Desde otro punto de vista, la religin lleva otras cosas como los valores y forma parte
del sistema social y hay religiones globales como el catolicismo. Eso, para m es una de
las religiones ms populares en todo el mundo y es el cada uno cmo tiene ms
antigedad en nuestro pas.

Religion is an original and specific human fact with its own identity and attested by its
antiquity, related to human life by constant and innumerable research on the subject.
Philosophy, it is the clarification of the human being and its context one in the sense of
the other, intertwined with each other, as two own events.
Religion, inherent to the human being because of its identity and autonomy from the
work of the human being and this, cannot be reduced or relegated to another area of
cultural expression. For this reason, it is mentioned that religion is philosophical and
normative thinking as it tries to clarify its authenticity. In this sense, it can be said that
religion has its own origin and identity and has special characteristics such as human
happening, as a way of life and as exclusive existence of the human being.
Religion is, then, the multidifferentiated historical fact of religious and diverse
experiences that cannot be reduced to one or reconstructed mentally as an artificial
experience. It is the reality that is revealed as such and concrete historical fact of
different realities and human communities in their diversity and cultural, social and racial
breadth.
Religious groups affect the human being as it is an appendix to it and has traditions that
accumulate lived experiences of ancestors of diverse human communities and their
social, cultural and ethnic, subjective and objective structure of reality and context.

to a full, straight and happy life. Well it is true that the different decisions that each
human being takes are thanks to the basis of the knowledge that it possesses in union
with the beliefs.

It shapes every human being in values and beliefs, and thanks to this has developed his
notions of spirituality, this in conjunction with a moral basis that provides each religion as

Hace miles de aos la concepcin que se logr tener una idea clara de lo que las
culturas antiguas tenan que hacer se basaba en las creencias religiosas msticas que
se utilizaban. A medida que avanzaban los aos, la religin estaba asumiendo un mayor
papel en trminos de poltica y poder.

La religin responde a cuestiones de origen y destino, nos permite tener una

perspectiva de futuro para el bien de cada uno, nos permite proponer un ideal de vida
para el futuro y que representa un crecimiento en cada momento para buscar plenitud.

A medida que este mundo avanza ms en trminos de innovaciones tecnolgicas y

estrechamiento poltico de los lazos entre pases y culturas, la Religin tambin
resurgir para que en un futuro no muy lejano ambas fuerzas puedan coexistir sin que
sea necesaria la dominacin de unos sobre otros.

me when our mothers and grandmothers mentioned the fear of God ... that which

Religion, does not make us better human beings ... it is the parenting style and home
values that account for our future behavior.
Their opinion regarding the subject is very sparse and predictable. Subjectivity in his

I agree that it is a way of life and part of the existence of the human being, experiences
are part of the philosophies of the human being and each individual is who immerses in
their own beliefs whatever their religion.
Religion has its own identity as a way of life and existence of the human being and its
