Open Letter Revision

Dear Lucy,

Ive noticed that you have been coming around a lot more lately. Actually,

sometimes I feel that you are constantly around, never leaving me alone. I see you

everywhere, whether I am out with friends, or all by myself. I face you everyday but its

something that we all have to live with and go through. Every time I turn on the

television I see your influence on society and the media. The news is sometimes

traumatizing to watch seeing all of the corruption going on in the world. I can see your

influence among the rich and powerful, even those who are among the elite of this world.

I have even heard of some conspiracy theories that say you run things behind the scenes

in secret, manipulating the masses using the media and many of your Hollywood puppets.

You are present in movies, music, television, commercials, and especially the World

Wide Web. A lot of people actually enjoy doing exactly what you tell them. Its crazy to

see that people will go so far as to making secret oaths with you, negotiating deals. You

have been influencing the masses for centuries since biblical times, even up to the very

first act of murder of an innocent man, Abel, the son of Adam, when you led his own

brother Cain to kill him. He received consequences for lying to God about his own

brothers murder, and he was punished, being cursed forever. Since the beginning of time,

you have been here, doing your work against humanity, laughing at the damage that you

have caused to the people of this world. Making men hungry for power, greedy for

material possessions, and lustful for women, committing whoredom and adultery. You

oppose all things good and uplifting and have put hate into the hearts of many, and the

consequences of such have led to the death of innocent people. Your influence has caused

countless celebrities, entertainers, artists, musicians, and many others to sell their soul for

fame and fortune. You have been doing this for a very long time and thats why youre so

good at making people miserable. Youve had a lot of practice, tempting people for

centuries. You even had the nerve to tempt Judas Iscariot into selling out his friend Jesus

of Nazareth for 30 pieces of silver, which drove him to hanging himself, committing

suicide because of the great guilt he must of felt. I blame you for the death caused to

thousands of Jews and mass murders of the holocaust, and the hate and race crimes we

have seen that you have committed. The hate that you have has been projected onto many

others who have harnessed that hate into action, destroying the lives of others through it.

I have seen people suffer because of bad decisions leading to addiction and other social

issues all because of the influence that youve had on them. Its hard some times because

were only human and we all make mistakes. Sometimes doing wrong, and falling into

temptation unknowingly. You are Lucy. You are Lucifer, the devil. You come in many

forms. Deceiving us even as a male or a female. I see you working the media, intending

to dumb down people and their morals, influencing and convincing them that their lives

need to reflect those on television, implementing that their lives are empty with out

materialistic goods and other luxuries of the world. My beliefs about you may differ from

others, but I know that you and your demons are here on this earth tempting mankind to

be miserable just like you. Trust me, Ive seen the scary movies. Ive watched all of the

Paranormal Activity movies and I for sure am not messing around with any of that

devil stuff. Opposition is everywhere, and if there werent any bad in this world, there

would be no good either. Then again, sin all depends on what you believe in.
