Student Reflection Artifact

This artifact is important to me because it reflects how my academic work has paid off.

This certificate was given to me during the spring 2016 semester because of my 3.0 GPA. As a

result of this accomplishment I feel motivated to continue to improve.

This assignment fits the student accomplishment category because obtaining a certificate

for a 3.0 GPA is something that had never happened to me before. When the school

acknowledged my academic work I felt valuated in the sense that hard work does in deed pay

off. The way that my academic improvement was awarded was by receiving an honor roll

certificate.

By completing this assignment I showed that I was a willing collaborator because I

stayed for tutoring to improve my grades, studied for more hours, and asked the teacher

questions when something was unclear to me. By doing all these tasks I not only improved my

grades, I also understood more in depth the importance of staying for tutoring and asking your

teacher questions whenever you are uncertain about something. Finally, this certificate signifies

that I was a willing collaborator because I took priority in staying after school, asking questions,

and willing to study for more hours than I usually do.

This is how I have grown because I understood the importance of keeping up with my

grades. Also, I have matured more and comprehended that high school isnt real life; there is

more to life than just a simple certificate. However, this honor roll certificate does prove that I

have changed my academic ways. This was an important skill for me to learn because this way I

can take more importance in finishing my academic tasks. Also, I can do my assignments on time
to obtain a better grade. Not only will I obtain better grades in the future but when I enter college

I will set myself goals to continue to improve and fulfill my expectations.
