Developing Curiosity

I develop curiosity best when I watch Television, when I watch something interesting I

always think about what was going on and why things happened the way they did. I develop

some curiosity when talking with others as some conversations can be interesting like talking

about current events or even battle tactics. When I am reading, I develop little to no curiosity,

because I only read when I have too; however, news articles and videos, I like to read and look at

as I can develop curiosity as they provide visual and more up to date things going on.

The most interesting thing I have researched this year is how technology influences

peoples actions and ways of life. I think cellphones or computer would be something good to

look at. Some questions on this matter are how is technology affecting people or is technology

growing so fast that a lot of people will be losing their jobs to robots? Both questions will not

have a straight yes or no answer as they can be both, for example if you work in an assembly line

the robots might be able to put stuff tougher a lot faster and more efficient causing some to lose

their jobs, but people in the medical field do not have to worry too much as robots cannot

perform heart surgery to my knowledge, or can they or the question could be when will they.

Phones on the other hand cause quite a few problems to others, like the bright light in the

movie theater, people knowing when to use them or not. My grandma who needs a hearing aid

having the volume up so loud the neighbors can hear the phone ringing and if youre in the same

building as her you can hear the whole conversation going on. Or the biggest one texting and
driving, which I overheard two girls talking about how when people pass in car accidents

because of texting, it is because they are bad at driving and text at the same time with the other

one respond I know right there so bad at multi-tasking. The problem is that their bad at driving

and texting at the same time its the fact that youre driving and texting at the same. Some good

sources that will be most beneficial to this would-be case studies on the effects of technology or

articles on how technology is affecting youth. A good way one could monitor the effects of

cellphones is just watch around them as they go to class or grocery shopping and see who all is

on their phone and how much it is distracting them from what is going on around them. Most of

these sources will be parents who want to help their kids have a more social life.
