Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by a microbe called "Koch bacillus".

It is a contagious disease, that is, it passes from one person to another. It is a disease that
mainly affects the lungs, but it can occur in other parts of our body, as in the ganglia, kidneys,
bones, intestines and meninges.

How is it transmitted?
Tuberculosis is transmitted through the air, sneezing, coughing and speaking. Any healthy
person can be contaminated by another carrier of the disease.

Vaccinate children at birth and recommend a new dose when they are over six years of age

How to cure tuberculosis?

The patient has to attend regularly to the doctor, take the medicines at the right time and,
mainly, do not interrupt the treatment. Otherwise, the disease may return more severe, and its
cure is difficult.
