Q3. What have you learned from your audience feedback?
Once I had completed the
production of my two TV adverts, radio advert and TV sponsorship sequence, I set about collecting some audience feedback. From the feedback I get the sense that I produced the adverts well but they didnt have strong enough connotations of the brand and type of clothing which I was trying to promote. If I had the chance to make improvements to my adverts after receiving this feedback there are a few alterations I would make. Unfortunately, due to only having access to IMovie to edit with, I was unable to layer my logo onto the end of my productions which I think is one of the main reasons that my brand gets slightly lost in the productions. If I had access to a better software such as After Effects, for example, I definitely would have added this and I think this would have made my target audience more inclined to check out the product website after viewing the advertisements. I only sent my audience feedback form to people within my target audience which is females aged approximately between 13-24. One person who gave me feedback said that they could not easily identify the clothing featured as being a 90s style. I think that if I had had a higher budget I would have been able to improve on this. However, as I am only an Alevel student, the contents of my wardrobe had to do. I think that if I had perhaps used better titles throughout the adverts, which linked more closely to the 90s, it may have made the products retro influence more prominent.
