Different Characteristic in Chinese, American, and Spain Movies

Watching movies is one of the most popular hobbies and activities people like to do

during their free time. When people try to watch movies, they find that the hardest part in

watching a movie is choosing what movie they want to watch. This difficulty is faced at least

once in a persons life time. There are many genres when it comes to movies such as horror,

action, romance, adventure, etc. Not only are there differences between each type of movie,

but also, each country has their own style of movies. For example, there are a lot of the hero

movies in the United States; however, in other countries like South Korea, romance movies

are popular. Each country such as Asia, America, and Europe has its own unique

characteristics and movie style that differentiates them.

The Reasons Why There Are Different Characteristics in Each Country

Before introducing and comparing these movies, it is important to mention that each

country has its own style when it comes to making and watching movies. Each movie has its

own unique touch to it, because every single country has its own characteristics, culture, and

history. Furthermore, the different cultures impact movies and how they may be made or

seen. History plays a large role, simply because culture is created by history. For example, in

China and Spain, there are many things that are related to their history, because they have

many different and deep history in their life and culture. However, the United States, has a

different type of long history. Since it is an immigrant country and many have come from all

over the world, it does not have a single long lineage like that of China and Spain. Thus, it is

can be said that history makes culture, and those things are shown in the individuals lifestyle.

The Special Features and Characteristics of Chinese Movies

According to the research, the most favorite and most viewed movies in China were

related to their history and culture. For example, The Kung Fu Panda series was one of the

most viewed movies in China. Kung Fu Panda is a movie that represents China. In the movie,

Kung Fu Panda, a few characters appear in the animation. The main character is a panda and

the extra characters are a tiger, snake, mantis, and crane. These five characters mainly appear,

and you can see the Chinese culture throughout this movie. The panda is the representative

animal in China, and the other characters like the snake and tiger are also common animals

found in China. In the animation, the animal is not the only thing that represents China.

Martial arts can be seen in the movie, because the main character learns martial arts to fight

against the enemy. Chinese martial art is called kung fu. Moreover, the setting of the movie

takes place in the rural area and city in China. Even the food in animation represents China

and their culture. Kung Fu Panda represents China, its culture, and even its history. When one

sees a Chinese movie, it is mostly like this movie. Most Chinese movies are related to their

culture and history, which make them very unique and special. Thus, the characteristic of the

Chinese movie is Chinese history and culture.

The Special Features and Characteristics of American Movies

The next country is America. Some of the most favorite and most viewed movies in

America, according to the websites, are Star Wars, Avatar, and some other Hollywood

movies. The genre of movies was mostly fantasy and superhero. It was very interesting to

find that Americans loves fantasy and hero movies. America was not present as long as China

and was built by immigrants. It is like a hot pot, meaning that the countrys culture is mixed

together and has become one new country. Unlike China, American does not use their history

as much, because it is not one lineage like China and is mixed. Americans found out how to

live smart through its different experiences from the many countries. As the Americans

started to live smart, science developed quickly and has now become the world strongest

scientific country. As science starts to develop, people start to think about the future and

imagine a new future world; this creates fiction and fantasy starts to emerge. Technology was

enough to create what the people imagined. They now create science fiction movies, like

Avatar and Star Wars. The story line of the Star Wars revolves around other planets and

fighting against enemy and other planets, which shows the genre is hero and fantasy.

The Special Features and Characteristics of Spain Movies

The last country is Spain. Spain can be seen as a friendly and realistic country. This is

depicted in the movie called Mar Adentro. According to the IMDB website, this movie was

very special and was recently the most viewed movie. The movie is about one guy and his

life. The movie starts off with a guy who gets into a diving accident. He is then not able to

move his body except for his face and head. He asks the government to legally euthanize him

after living 28 years with a practically dead body. This movie was based on true story. This

movie shows that Spanish people are very emotional. Since the movie is based on true story,

it can be concluded that this movie shows that Spanish people like true stories and are very

realistic when it comes to their lives.

Why the Countries Have Different Style and How That Comes Out as A Movie

In conclusion, there are many types of movie; however, movies are different in each

country based on their history and culture. Each movie has its own characteristics and styles,

which makes it unique. The movie is created by the different style from each country. In fact,

culture makes a huge impact on the movie and how it is created and released. This is

something to think about that when one becomes more interested in movies; they begin to

watch and concentrate on the cultures seen in the movies, because the countrys emotion and

culture is melted into one single movie. When one know more about movies and gets

interested in them, one gains more on knowledge on those countries and respects the

differences found in each movie.
